I have been trying to get a grip on just is what is needed to get us to turn the corner? The answer i keep coming up with is square pegs in round holes. I would just like to ask if anyone else thinks we are now paying the price for playing so long with 2 holding midfielders protecting our back four? Since moving to just the one holding midfielder in Lucus and then the loss of Carra has exposed a soft underbelly that is so much more easy for teams to get at than was once was the case? This is what i believe is the problem we are experiencing at the moment and confidence is now shot all over the pitch as everyone knows we will conceed goals and dont have the ability to score 2 or more goals without exposing even more holes at the back as was the case last night again I think at the moment we are trying to solve to many problems at once and need to go back to basics for the short term untill we can bring in new players to the squad and work towards a new begining i would say protecting our defenders is are No1 priority at the moment and getting back to 2 holding midfielders would be the way forward everyone wants to see free flowing attacking play but we dont have the players available at the moment to allow this to be the case with Gerrard and Carra missing and a back 4 that is shot to bits and leaking goals we have to stot the rot before we can move forward we need to stay at home full backs, put Agger as left back for a few games until Carra returns and kelly on the other flank put Lucus and another holding midfielder maybe it has to be Poulson? Aurelio and Kuyt should play wider of those two and Torres at the sharp end and either Cole Jovanovich or Ngog to support him just be solid and compact go for this untill we have options at least we might keep a clean sheet and if we can have that then we will get at least one chance the other end to score in 90 mins might not be what we all want but we need to crawl before we can run

Liverpool.no reckon the board are coming over for the derby and there's going to be a big announcement. Presumably it's the CEO but who knows, stadium news?
