Where's the clamour for an Englishman to take over at Chelsea? In the space of a few years they've gone through a Portugese, an Israeli, Brazillian, Dutchman and next they'll have an Italian. They've not had an English manager since Hoddle was there.
How come the media isn't championing the likes of Curbishley and Fat Sam for the Chelsea job?
Remember when we appointed Rafa, the media were having a go at us for appointing another foreigner (only the 2nd in our history), and talking about a missed opportunity to appoint a 'promising' English manager such as the aforementioned failures.
English managers themselves were even moaning about another foreigner taking over a top 4 club and that we should somehow be duty-bound to appoint an Englishman.
Not heard even a squeak about this regarding Chelsea. Why is that?
