...you know fuck all. We lack any sense of organisation at the back without him. We also lack the "last ditch tackle" type of defender too. Go and have a long, hard think about ever doubting the man. If you still think he is past it and not of any worth to us, then you really need to follow a different sport.

Soccer Saturday welcomes a very special guest into the studio this week. Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher will join Jeff Stelling and the regulars on Sky Sports News HD to give his views ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby. Carragher has been ruled out of the game with a shoulder injury, but will be in our studio from midday to talk about the key clash with Everton, as well as discussing the appointment of Kenny Dalglish as manager. It's been a dramatic period following the departure of Roy Hodgson, so Liverpool fans will not want to miss this TV appearance from one of their star men. Carragher will also be donning a set of the famous Soccer Saturday headphones to bring you updates from one of the big Premier League games of the day, Chelsea v Blackburn. He'll be sat alongside former Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson, who will report on the game at Eatslands, where Manchester City are hoping to continue their title push. Matt Le Tissier and Paul Merson are also in the studio this week with Le Tiss watching the fixture between Stoke and Bolton and Merse covering Wigan v Fulham. The other Premier League game on Saturday afternoon takes place at the Hawthorns and we're sending Alan McInally there to see how West Brom get on against visitors Blackpool. We'll also have reporters at all of the games in the Football League and the Scottish leagues, so you can be sure we'll bring you goal news faster than anybody else. So join Jeff and his guests from 12noon, Saturday, Sky Sports News HD.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has agreed a four-year extension to his current contract, which will see him remain at Anfield until at least 2014. The 24-year old, who joined the Reds from Brondby in 2006, has played 76 times and scored 6 goals, including his recent spectacular long range effort against Blackburn Rovers. Agger joins teammates Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt who have recently committed their long term future to the club. Manager Rafael Benitez said: "This is extremely good news for Liverpool moving forward and demonstrates our intention to build on the progress we have already made this season. "Daniel is still young, but with great quality and will be a very important player for us in the years ahead. "I'm sure there were many other clubs monitoring the situation closely, but throughout our discussions, Daniel made it clear that he wanted to stay at Liverpool and achieve success here. "I'm delighted we've secured his future at Anfield."
