Been thinking about getting into bid-rigging and labour racketeering.
I'd love a no show job

As others have said here that two point deduction was a joke. The equivalent loss of a a defender making a bad back pass turning a win into a draw for sustained premeditated cheating.

Keane? They started brightly but since they’ve been as bad as anything I’ve seen all season. They can’t afford to sack Dyche. Moshiri is there and all the snakeIt was Keane

Klopp doing his best to retain his reputation as a bottler
Posted by aje on April 14, 2024, 4:30 pm, in reply to "At this rate, it'll be Weißwurst and a Luke warm Brezel in Klopp's living room. nt."I believe that when he arrived at Liverpool he was famous for losing finals
Yes he had two Bundasliga's with Dortmund, but he lost the Champions League final that he took them to.
At Liverpool he's won a champions league (against Tottenham !) and lost one.
He's won 1 league title across his 9 seasons there. And that was the pandemic freak show. In his first season he got to two cup finals and lost them both.
2022 they pick up domestic cup double, but is that really a good return given the quality they've had over such a long period of time?
If they win the league this season it means Klopp goes ahead of legendary PL managers such as Pellegrini, Mancini and Raniera. If they don't, he's at their level, albeit with a couple of cup wins. About par with Ancelotti (in England only).
But he's a bottler.
For all the "Everton that" narrative don't forget:
- Liverpool 1989 only need to lose by 1 goal, they lose 2-0
- 2014 they are 3-0 up against Palace and go for goal difference, end up drawing
Yes they've had comebacks of their own, and trophies. I thought to myself losing finals is part and parcel of winning them, and I'd much rather get to many and win a few than the alternative. But his legacy is underwhelming when judged on winning things
Liverpool bottle it
When it matters, we win
3-2 vs Wimbledon
3-2 vs Palace
1-0 vs Bournemouth
We're shit but we don't got down. That's Everton.
"Everton that" means surviving.
"Liverpool that" means everyone blowing smoke up your arse but you don't actually win much
Don't actually win much = most successful club in England

Came across an interview with Ray Abruzzo earlier. I knew that little Carmine was based on George W Bush. I didn't realise Rusty was based on Dick Cheney. He mentions his triple bypass as well as trying to have Carmine installed as boss so he can rule using him as a puppet.

It's second. If we were top on goal difference nobody would say the team in second were joint top.

They're only a couple of points off 4/5th amazingly, so they have to actually turn up in games coming up which might actually help us.
They're ten points off fifth

We have a member of the forum who has come into close contact with Boris Johnson's dogs (not me, before some wag suggests it), I wonder if they could enlighten us about the fleas.

Nowt wrong with that mate.
Here’s hoping for a time in the not too distant future we actually have a fair electoral system.
Years ago I'd agree. Nowadays I'm not sure on things like pr. Loonies like reform would have massive influence now.

£30 profit for every man, woman and child in the UK.
Asda are really taking the piss price wise at the minute. Selling nescafe jar for 7.10 that was 5 quid a week before. Think it's due to them being part of a leveraged buyout. Shops look like a shithole as they've cut staff apparently.
Been using the topcashback site for some stuff. Made ( or saved) 150 quid from Christmas on switching broadband, switching pet insurance ect. All stuff I'd ordinarily do.

Can imagine though being pretty young with all the time in the world and loads of money it's an easy thing to do.
On a massively smaller scale during lockdown I'd been made redundant. Had money in the bank and nothing to do and I was hammering the ale.

They're even moaning about the two points. Very lenient given the absolute nonsense about their covid losses.

What a time to be alive
The leader of Reform UK has warned his candidates not to use social media after drinking alcohol, to avoid posting “inappropriate” comments.
The party has ditched seven candidates for the upcoming election following complaints about their social media posts.
Don't get pissed and go online or you may drop your dog whistle and say what you really mean about non whites.

In fairness this is a country where an MI6 agent working on a case of dirty Russian money was found dead in a zipped up holdall in a bath and police said it was suicide,
That's a fairly common suicide method. Plenty of people at the end of their tether are forced to make the decision of overdose, slit wrists or lock yourself in a suit case and jump in an empty bath.

We won't win the league due to how shit we are in front of goal.
We were playing a team in 6th with a negative goal difference, some people are talking about them like they are Fergusons united.
Liz fucking Truss then.....
