Hope Wilson gets to the final. Can't stand Trump or Murphy.

I don't like their personalities, but they're cracking players, very attacking.

I'd like to see Wilson win seems like a decent lad, and a very good player. Has he got it in him to win the thing though?

    ANYONE BUT SELBY.

A potential final of City V Chelsea and the Mancs winning the Europa. Add to us falling apart spectacularly.  This season is probably the worst case scenario you could have imagined.

Don't forget Everton have put their planning application in for the hydraulic tower as well.

  3. Has Eurosport changed its snooker sponsor? I could swear it used to be Bet 888, but now it's CareCo who seem to specialise in mobility aids. What are they trying to say about us snooker fans?

Everton's accounts for the year go up to 30th June 2020. Their total income for the year was around £186m (about £2m down on the previous 12 months). Their total loss for the year was around £140m (the previous year they lost around £112m). Over half the money they made came from broadcasting (£98m of that total £186m), which is a bit better than the previous year (when around £133m of their total £188m came from broadcasting). But, nearly £165m of what they earned last year went on wages and salaries. About 89% of what they earned. Bear in mind that what they earned wasn't vastly down from the previous year (only £2m or so).

In Liverpool's case, the amount spent on wages and salaries was £325m, and the total income was £490m. So Liverpool spent around 66% of their income on wages and salaries.

In a 'normal' year, we are generating almost 3 times as much income as Everton, while spending around twice as much as they do on wages and salaries.

If we are in as much danger as they say, then it means they've been ignoring letters and phone calls from the bayliffs for a while now, while pretending not to be in when they visit.

    Uncle Uzzy, lad.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see squad players like Matip, Keita and Ox get loaned out next season given the usual destinations haven’t got the finances at present to pay their expected transfer fees.

They all have massive wages so we can pass that on to another club and hope that their performances in the meantime are decent enough to command a good fee twelve months from now.

We need Michael Edwards to work absolute magic to get decent fees for Origi, Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Minamino. Pre pandemic we might have been looking at 70m for that lot. We’ll do well to get half that now.

As for incomings I think we’ll see Kabak, Konate, Bissouma (who is the absolute mustard) and a forward (hopefully one who is fucking ruthless in front of goal like Daka). I also think Harvey Elliott has a decent role to play next season.

He didn't do it last summer, and now everyone is even worse off.

Having complained enough about our finishing lately, I could see this being one of those games that everything we hit goes in, a bit like the Palace game.

I know that’s flying in the face of reason and current form but it would be just like us to dick them 4-2.

Then lose the next one at home.

We have to start Fabinho in midfield though, regardless.

Phillips has a slight hamstring injury which in LFC 2021 language means he'll be out for the season probably, which means Fabinho in defence.

Ben Davies will be hammering his PS5.
