Close to 400 deaths recorded today. Might've just been those "mild" deaths though?

The new normality, according to the education secretary. Nothing to see here, get back to work.

So do I, when they actually deliver them to me, instead of the chicken wraps they delivered tonight.

Last time I went they didn't even put it in the fucking bag. Got home and noticed it wasn't there and I was fuming. I wouldn't mind but when I was in the store I went to check the bag and the girl on the desk gave me a shitty look and told me everything was in there.

Well it wasn't, was it! It was then I knew 2022 was going to be crap.

Haven't seen this yet, but really liked the look of it. Reminded me of Blue Ruin in terms of a revenge flick and how grimy the press shots looked. Loved that film and think Mulligan is class so should really get my arse in gear.

Did you catch it on a streaming service?

It was on Sky Showcase over Christmas, I recorded it and just got round to watching it.

Mulligan is brilliant in it. In fact, all the main cast are really good.

  4. The 96 chanting was outrageous and I'm glad it's being highlighted by fans and media. Is it just me that thinks there's been general increase in sickening chants that seem to be aired more and more at us? We seem to be fair game for all sorts of shite - feed the scousers, always the victims. Be it Chelsea, Leicester, Shrewsbury, whoever.

Neil Atkinson from the Anfield Wrap wrote a good piece about it recently - it was an email though so I can't link it.

  5. Promising Young Woman (2020) - 8/10.

Carey Mulligan is really good as the lead character. Her accent is pretty spot on and she looks very different than when I've seen her in other stuff. The 'ending' was a bit of a shock, and I'm not sure if I liked it or not. But the rest of the film was very smart.

Out of the 4 staff on my corridor only 1 is going to be in next week. I won't be in til Friday at the latest, one has long covid and the other won't be in til next week. Hard to see how we'll continue to stay open.

Is that a school? Don't worry, public health will have dinner ladies, caretakers or school hamsters teaching classes before they admit there's a problem.
