Most have been another 40k, no 30k, no 10k, no 2.5k, there without tickets last night…

Yep, those Scousers again, turning up at France games. Always the victims.

Jesus Christ, every time I open Twitter there’s another horror story from Paris…

Yep. I'm not even sure the game should have gone ahead, now. A massive catastrophe has been really narrowly avoided.

    Mad Max.

Only cost about 55p to make, it was probably dated at launch.

Saying that, I love it, and Mad Max is my favourite film trilogy. (I do like the modern one but don't really count it as the original run).

Her Indoors watching some of this bollocks on the beeb. I wasn't allowed to change channels so had to watch all the arse licking, and the twats walking down the mall with their Union Jack tops on. If only they knew how fucking stupid they look.

I'm going on a mega wind up tomorrow.

If this is something Kate Middleton is involved with I'll be tuning in.

  4. There are obviously a few factors here, but two things that have stood out to me from all the French/uefa statements are:

    - the behaviour of the England fans at the Euros has had an impact on how we've been treated

    - the recent pitch invasions in English football has had an impact on how we've been treated.

The irony obviously being that Liverpool fans have had nothing to do with either of them.

Caught a few minutes of the coverage on Sky News. Couple of those interviewed shouldn't be anywhere near children.

Plenty of people with boxes of wine, bottles of bucks fizz and champagne. I for one am disgusted that people are turning up to big events drinking alcohol. I mean, people have been saying for years that football fans shouldn't be allowed to drink at big matches...

We got crushed outside be ause they shut the gates. And the place was literally a building site with rocks and rubble everywhere. And the stadium was completely inaccessible, it took us 3 hours to get there. It was a fucking disgrace and it got washed away because of the way we won.

Brian Reade covered it in one of his books, but apart from that I dont think anything was made of the biggest game in Europe being held in literally the middle of nowhere.

  7. The ticket machines weren't even working properly.

Uefa/France have avoided being responsible for a crowd catastrophe by the skin of their teeth. Gate Y and the Underpass would have had the same connotations as Leppings Lane.

The way they've tried to weasel out of it is disgusting, and sadly we've seen it all before. Bastards.

  8. Sadly, I think the nonsense with uefa and the police affected the players and therefore the performance. The ridiculous scene of our team bus being stuck in traffic, while the Madrid bus had been escorted swiftly through any trouble. Our lads were stuck on the bus while the Madrid players were on the pitch!

And the players obviously knew something was happening outside and would have been worried about friends and family - they seen the huge gaps in the stands, they knew something was wrong.

All this knocked a slight edge off us I think, which is all it takes in a massive game like this.

The performance could have been a bit better in both penalty boxes, but in the circumstances I can't blame the players.

Also, Benzema was offside for their goal, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind.
