For me Virgil is the safest bet ro retain. Based on the eye test Mo looks a risk but if the data says otherwise then I'd offer him an extension.
For the first time my opinion on Trent has moved to not arsed. Two throws in at Fulham that went over his head, the Dacoure run, the missed header and non challenge for the 2 Everton goals are unacceptable. Who the fuck does he think he is? The internet would explode if Elliot or Szoboszlai done that. Walking about on the first 3 and not bothering on the last 2, that's Chelsea behaviour. I think his attitude has reached an irretrievable point, I can't think of any player that thought they had shit that didn't smell that suddenly turned it around. He's acting like Neymar without the flights to Rio. With Bradley ready to step up I'd let him have his 18 in months in Madrid and then buy him back.

Fans of Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton will have seen Leeds score an offside goal the other night. I'd bet right now that they(their fans) are more willing to accept that mistake and keep the game as is rather than introducing the shit show that is VAR.

It all depends what's on the table and what the player wants. If someone is offering 5m for Mo, well you let him see his contract out. If that's some stupid Saudi offer, it becomes a completely different conversation.
But Trent mightn't want to stay. So flog him if that's the case. Vvd might think Slot is a bellend, so he can't stay as captain. It's just not as easy for me in picking someone to go.
I've never known 2 Dutch people that don't hate each other.

Trent, Virgil and Mo all have 12 months remaining. I can't see any scenario were all 3 reach agreements on new contracts.
If we have to sell 1, who is it?

Accidentally shot in the head. And probably by Hamas.

Best thing about last night is this threads no longer concerns us.

Only heard today that Christy Moore was the only man to appear in court over the Stardust tragedy, were 48 young people died. He was in court for contempt over the lyrics "the fire exits where chained", the inquest this week of course proved where locked.

Don't think it's that concerning really, if anything the players could do with a 'nobody is safe' style kick up the arse and you're not doing it to Salah.
I think it perhaps points to a higher turnover of players in the summer than might have previously been expected if they don't think they can improve though.
It is concerning, we can sell the lad because he didn't deliver. Stig or Usher or any of his biggest fan boys couldn't argue he wasn't given a fair crack. We can do that without a blame game, the club has been water tight for a number of years, nobody benefits from these hit jobs. Edwards might think he does but he's wrong.

Joyce might have rung the death knell on Nunez's time at the club (although with hindsight and injury the alternative wouldn't have fared any better this season, 23 goals 9 assists the season we would have tried to sign him though).
He's going to need the new manager to have been an avid Benfica watcher for one season.

That's really concerning, Klopp hasn't left the building and leaks to support their own ends are starting already.

I'd have last nights performance playing in the back ground when he's negotiating a new contract. It was shameful.

Gonna take some spread sheet to explain that performance.

Fell asleep last night and only saw the score when I woke up for a piss.
Disappointing they didn’t even keep the score down. We’re not catching Arsenals GD. Even if they won their remaining games 1-0, we’d have to win ours 4-0.
Not gonna happen.
Feels bad that we’re likely hoping on Spurs to effectively win us the title, the worlds biggest losers.
Offer me the prospect of winning the league if Spurs get a result against Arsenal and I'm snapping the hand off you.

Dolly also wrote a song the she gave away free of charge to one of her friends that fell on hard times. Can't remember who it was or what song but it was another classic that made the chap a fortune.

See, thats a funny comment.
It's not meant to be funny, I'd be well up for rolling the dice on De Zerbi but equally I could see that happening. Brentford come for the nil nil, if we want to wait for them to break their shape we'll be a long time waiting.

The point with De Zerbi is he has his own football, which is very rare, and it is something that seems very suited to the high level.
That is a trait that could make him a great manager, just like Slot winning at a worse club in Holland could make him a great manager. But the fact he won the Eredivisie and De Zerbi hasnt won anything means fuck all, lets be honest.
I could envisage a situation where Virgil stands on the ball like Dunk does and nobody engages him at all. He's literally standing there breaking PL possession records.

Could they get themselves 10 points clear of relegation and then hit the administration button?

777 will make more of a return on that £200m than they ever will if they buy the club. As long as Everton can pay back the monthly installments that is.

Watching a documentary on Chelsea in the 80s, Ken Bates installed electric fences at Stamford Bridge in 1985. Fucking hell.

I really wish Jurgen would just lie sometimes, say nothing today and tomorrow just say he's ill. Announcing a 2 week injury just spreads gloom.

Cole Palmer is an interesting player, like a better, less whingey Bruno Fernandes. I don't think Chelsea will miss him tonight, he's not built for the job required. He's a player that's found his level, like a James Maddison. Go to man for a club that will entertain but ultimately fail and the weeks he does nothing will be blamed on the other 10. Not for me Clive, doesn't work hard enough.

Szoboszlai, Jota, Endo, these are lads that appeared on a Monday evening and signed on a Tuesday.
Absolutely no reason to suspect the manager appointment will be any different. Everything will be silent until its not, panicking over people we don't want makes no sense. We're getting a worse manager than the one we have, that's just a fact we all have to get accustomed too.

He's never reffed a Luton game, I think it's fairly safe to say he's listed as a Luton fan.

Fair play for putting that out, the composure 20 minutes after the final whistle was remarkable.
While the lads were generally shit, I thought you let the ref off way too easy. He was their man of the match in the period where they set the tone and created their only chances. He gave them literally everything so it's hypocritical to say treat it as a Derby but also not fall into the trap of allowing them fall to the ground. On my count it was 9 frees to 1 at one stage so John's point about just fall down doesn't stack up, we gave us nothing, some of the tackles would have been VAR reviews in a normal match.
I'm well pissed off with the lads but I have sympathy, it's 3 or 4 years of this death by a thousand cuts shit. We weren't playing badly, we created multiple situations but its hard to keep battling against the world. Particularly against that type of team, fall to the ground, load the box, launch it into the box, our team isn't built for that. Then they fouled Virgil on every free in the first half bar the one they scored from, he didn't get a single free. We only had 2 big lads, they had 5 or 6 and an obliging referee, most defences will eventually crack in that scenario, on reflection Gomez or Endo should have started. All avoided though if any of the forwards could kick a ball straight.
