What're the chances Konato told him "just keep going to the net, kid, and good things will happen"?

This picture of a young boy whose flock had been hit by a car killed me when I first saw it in National Geographic. It still does. The way his toque has bent his ear over, for some strange reason, just absolutely kills me. The patch on his elbow, so carefully sewn.
I wasn't alone. People donated to replace his sheep. Which led to this picture, which also kills me:

High point for me was a few minutes before VVD scored, Klopp was standing there with a big smile on his face.
Put me in mind of Milner, a couple of years ago, talking about not taking anything for granted, and enjoying every moment. [Turns out it was after he turned his back on Tsimikas' pen to win the FA Cup]:
"I wanted to watch the Liverpool fans. You don't know when it'll be your last trip to Wembley, do you? I fancied Kostas — he's got a great left foot — and I wanted to see the fans' reaction.

Worked all day, just watching a replay now.
The LFC supporters singing at the 11 minute mark of ET.
Brilliant.

115 million pound thug.
One of the things that I liked about Caicedo at Brighton was his willingness to stick up for his team-mates.
But I was wrong; the reality is he's just a dirty cunt.

I'm watching a very old Canadian sitcom called "The Beachcombers".
It's corny and cheesy, but it was also way ahead of it's time in terms of environmental stories and in it's portrayal of our native population.
All that's just a segue into the story of the actor playing the nominal "bad guy" on the show, who, it turns out, was a bomber pilot during WWII who flew quite a few missions over the Channel in a Lancaster bomber and won the DFC.
One of those masters of the air who came home, first becoming an architect, and then a TV star. He also illustrated a number of UK science fiction magazines.

Minds in the gutter, all of you.

So they're going to hold another debate and vote on a new SNP ceasefire motion, exact wording as yet unknown.
Good to see they've taken measures to ensure MP safety so quickly.

Arteta was too cagey mid-week, playing it close-to-the-vest against a team with a 40-year-old CB.
Hopefully they give up an early goal (or two) at home.
Just to make things interesting.

Arse vs OG

Alonso to Newcastle?
No immediate pressure, all the money in the world.

Livrimento and Botman combine for the OG after Karius actually makes a great save.

Newcastle are going to get hammered here.

When someone pays £9,000 for a pair of Corbyn's autographed wellies I'll believe it.

This Alabama "every-sperm-is-sacred" ruling looks like it's going to cost him a few votes.
But that's what happens when you let religious fundamentalists make your decisons for you.

Everton really are poor.
Just hail mary it into the box and hope for a lucky bounce, and nothing more than that.

Schadenfreude 1 2: Brighton equalize and Fulham retake the lead vs United.

I pretended the two leads were male from the start, so it was just a string of the usual boring cop-show cliches capped off by a slapped-together, ill-thought-out ending.
SPOILER
The idea that they'd all just get together, get their guns, and kill all those people without actually trying to figure out which, if any of them actually killed the victim is ridiculous.
As bad as series one was good, and the longer it lasted the worse it got.

Social media major X (formerly Twitter) has admitted to taking down accounts and posts related to the ongoing farmers' protests in India.
The site has claimed it took down the pages after the Indian government sent them "executive orders".
The orders were "subject to potential penalties, including imprisonment", X said in a statement, adding that it "disagreed with these actions".

MASH is probably the one I've watched most.
It was on in reruns forever, and on several channels, back when there was a lot less choice. I'm sure I've watched every episode at least a half dozen times.

A certain degree of understatement.

The USA is going to start air-dropping aid to Gaza.
I hope they don't mix it up with the bombs they're sending to Israel for the Israelis to drop on the Gaza.
Maybe what they should do is attach an aid package to every bomb, and kill two birds (or children as the case may be) with every stone.
Is this real? Can this actually be happening? Is someone slipping acid into my tea?
