Terminator 4
Boring and predictable, though Christian Bale's horrible over-acting made me laugh a few times.
3 out of 10.
-
Not a bad result.
A little air out of Newcastle's sails, and Chelsea still look like the middle of the Human centipede.
-
Perfect match for Torres now.
See if he still has any speed to take advantage of all that space on the counter.
And there he is, glued to the bench.
-
Earle is one of my favourites, as well.
Interesting fellow.
Anyone interested in Townes Van Zant, check out "Be Here to Love Me", a documentary about him (which features Earle as well).
-
My suspicion is he's lost that first step that made him so dangerous.
Can't go by defenders as easily, and it also means they don't have to give him that bit of space he got before to take possession and make a move.

At some point (and we're probably past that point now) they're going to be right in saying "enough is enough".
It's called "winning the argument after it's over".

Snake Oil

After watching that, Ferguson will really be disappointed dough-head was fired. Half that squad looks ready for the bargain bin.
-
Followed immediately by Palace giving away a penalty and it's 1-1.
-
Palace up 1-0 vs the Scum's second-rate second-string after 65 minutes.
Quality strike by Darren Ambrose.

Owners, ultimately.
Every manager makes good and bad purchases.
If you have poor ownership, you have to sell some of the good to try to buy better.
If you have more substantial owners, you can weed out the poor, keep the good, and strengthen in depth.
A manager who buys more good than bad lets you build up the depth more quickly.

Scan tomorrow, or rather later today, from what I've read.

Some credit to Dowd as well.
The missed red on Lukaku is disappointing, but a lot of refs would have given the penalty on Sideshow Bob's dive. He got the penaltly call at the other end right too.
-
Credit to Kenny and the coaching staff for having all these guys so ready to play, even if they're not getting regular football.
Spearing is doing the job.
So is Kelly.

Get the fuck in!

Death Proof
Tarantino: all style, little substance.
I loved it. Great stunt work, sexy women, a bit of over-the-top gore, and Kurt Russell as the bad guy.

He's made excellent progress.
The most notable thing for me is his positioning.
As mentioned, he committed all those fouls in dangerous positions because he wasn't reading the game well enough. And that is the key to the game in the job he has.
Now he's reading the game much better, and so fewer poor fouls, he's in position to receive and make more passes, and he's also in position to make more tackles.
I hope to hell the rest of the youngsters we have make the same progress.

And i thought you were.. oh wait, sorry, I didn't actually give a fuck what you were doing.
But obviously you do. You care what everyone is doing, what they're thinking, what they're feeling, (or not feeling), to the point that you feel obligated to tell them what they should do, what they should think, and what they should feel, when, and how much.
Don't tell me you don't care. You seem to care too much.
-
Sorry, I just can't seem to recall ANYBODY ever eulogising too much over Gary Speed before today.
Maybe because he wasn't dead?
-
Pepe
Lucas
Suarez
First two inter-changeable, and a ways ahead of the rest of the squad.
-
Fuck.
Lucky blue shit.
-
It's always you, Mario, because you're an idiot.

RIP
Terrible news, whatever the reason.

“Everyone, including the referee, was astounded,” Ferguson said. “He was put in a terrible position. Why can’t the referee overrule it when he is only eight yards away? The problem is that the referees are full-time and the linesmen are not and, whether he ever gets a game again, the assistant referee, is not for me to decide, but it was an absolutely shocking decision.
“I didn’t think anyone in the ground thought it was a penalty apart from the assistant referee. The referee thought it was a corner. He was nearer to it. He was only eight yards away. It was an absolute travesty.
“It costs you. Two years ago, when the linesman gave an offside goal against Chelsea it cost us the league, so hopefully we’re not saying that at the end of May.”
Whether he dies a horrible lingering painful death from nut cancer is not for me to decide, but Ferguson really is a cunt.

The NEX 5N is highly rated, particularly for stills quality.
