They were lucky to survive the first onslaught, but then the formations gave them control of the mid-field, and the (surprisingly cagey) match.
Fair result, I thought.

Everton can't complete a pass.
They're atrocious.

When will Cavani score his first United goal in the league? I'm going March.
Which year?

That was a pretty nauseating dive by Slabhead.
And now he's gone through Digne.
Straight red?

Lallana really was wasting his talents sitting on the bench at LFC.

So it ends not with a bang but with a WI/MI/PA.
(stolen, of course)

OG on a hat-trick now for Arsenal, as they take the lead 2-1.

OG in the running for Europa League golden boot on today's performance.
Arse gifted the equalizer.

Solskjaer on Greenwood:
QuoteFor him to be a No 9, though, he needs to learn how to head the ball. I keep telling him that and, if he wants to do that, he's welcome to come and practice with me.
I can't see Klopp (or any good manager) leaving it to a young player like that to decide whether or not he's going to improve his play.

I reckon if, once Bielsa finishes that coffee, he takes the lid off and sets the cup down in front of him he'll have gathered a pound or two by the end of the match.

Poll
Would you sack or keep Ole? (Poll reopened)
Thread title from Redcafe.
Sums their situation up perfectly.

Robbo giving him a round of applause after the final clearing header.
Well-earned.

Absolutely furious with the disallowed goal, but that match did remind me of some of the best of last season.
Just an absolute refusal to give in.
Strange that their opening goal was not the worst thing that could have happened, as it let them sit back even more than they would have otherwise and kept the pressure off the back four.
But I thought the back four/five were excellent, none-the-less, particularly keeping pressure off Philips who looked pretty solid when called upon.

If Antwerp could finish--even just a little bit--they'd be out of sight vs Spurs. Woeful.

Vardy with the sting in the tail.
Arsenal have no sting, anywhere.
-
Pretty embarassing display, in every respect, by Everton.

If this gets any slower, it might stop.

James knackered?
That would be a real shame.

Time to scrap it. It ruins the game.
An experiment that failed.

The fact its Crackle and Lamps coaching this shite might be a bit of a clue
That's what it is, no doubt.
But I'm just flabbergasted at how they can be so poor. It's as if they've never played together before.
I noticed vs Ajax this week when Klopp brought on Minamino and Jota it was clear that they had been working together, and with Milner as well.
These here are just passing it around, hoping something happens.

This is woeful. What do they do on the training pitch?
At the risk of harping on Leeds, when they get the ball, they have a plan on what they're going to do with it.
Patterns of passing and movement, up down and across the pitch. (As does LFC, of course)
Neither of these two sides have a goddam clue.
