Great news CD!
In other good news, Moderna's vaccine has received the first stage of approval in the US.
So another vaccine might be coming online in a couple of days.
A bit brighter at the end of the tunnel.

How is it that such "off-side" goals are normally examined with the wiry complexity of a Von Trapp family puppet show - and yet this very very tight call (that actually looked off to the naked eye) was complete in about 12 seconds?
Fucking. Joke.
Nice one.
As was the match. Best team won, obviously.
The tackle by Lo Celso on Robertson was a deliberate attempt to injure. I think it might linger in a few minds.
Fuck Mourinho, the eye-gouging POS.

The project is off to a good start:
He's got Gamm on board.

Must be a bit disappointing for Spurs' better players to know they're much much better than their opposition, but still liable to drop points with a single mistake because they're playing for a manager whose style of play is so dull and unimaginative.

Jekyll and Hyde in the net for Palace.
But that was some save off Kane.

Asolo 535.
I spend a fair bit of time in the woods, so I don't mind spending money on good boots. These were $260 CAD, on clearance.
My second pair, having worn a first pair out. A bit heavy, but excellent support and protection. Worth every penny.

Chelsea can barely string two passes together in the attacking end.
Fully deserve to lose.
-
Chilwell gives the ball away brainlessly at one end, then gives away the penalty at the other.
Woeful.
VAR with the save!

Another comfortable win for Gerrard's Rangers, top of the group, avoiding the CL drop-outs.
(Though it'd have me laughing my ass completely off if he managed to kick United out of Europe entirely.)
Hard to judge where they are given the competition they're facing, but they work very hard and try to play football.
Good for him.

Concede a goal and they're out. It was a strange one alright but on balance the CL was for 1 round more and the Europa is a possibility to go a lot further.
True enough. It probably does mean quite a bit more money.
And they were competing til late on.
Just looked a little strange.
-
Shaktar playing for a draw and Europa, even though a goal and the win would have taken them through to the final sixteen.
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Kick it in the balls CD.

Missed the match due to a dentist's appointment.
Watching a replay and schadenfreude apparently makes a fantastic anesthetic as I'm laughing like Chief Inspector Dreyfus.

I've run out of rep, and of superlatives as well.
It's just so enjoyable to watch the best team in the world go about their business.
Doesn't seem to matter who's missing, the replacements step up, and the regulars adjust to make up for any possible short-comings.
Not the toughest run of matches possible, perhaps, but by my reckoning they've lost once since losing VVD (8-2-1), given up six goals in those eleven matches while scoring 22, given up 2 goals only once, and kept six clean sheets.
Brilliant.

Would be interesting to see this Spurs side meet Atleti in the EL.

I'd love to see Bielsa with Arsenal's squad, assuming he could get them to buy into the hard work necessary to operate in his system.
As it is, they look like Arsenal have looked since the tail end of Wenger's stint, half-assed, not bothered, soft and dull.

Sit back, hit on the counter, defend for 80 minutes.
Another master class in the making.

Another shite VAR decision has ruined the West Brom v Palace game when it was 1-1
Yeah you can say he kicks out, but again the minute you have to check numerous times and in slow motion then you can guarantee the officials will come to the wrong decision

Just ridiculous. Competitive match, good entertainment on a Sunday morning. Then the VAR kills it.

Keeper bottled it, got to the edge of his area and stopped.
Could’ve got there and cleaned everything out
I only got one replay, but that's what it looked to me as well.

Bamford puts Leeds up one early vs Chelsea.
Beautiful pass, but the keeper should have got there, I reckon.
And now Werner's just taken a goal from Giroux and then put the rebound off the bar.
He actually stops the ball from going in, then flicks it off the bar. Incredibly dumb.
-
A Phil Babb moment as Standard Liege retake the lead against Rangers.

So what are the underlying conditions that allow those 16 to 64 to jump the queue?
Will there be people going to the doctor to get a jarg diagnosis of scrofula or bonespurs or somesuch so they can get the vaccine early?
