Are the orc hordes of county road going to make out that United winning the Europa will piss all over our league win?

Of course they will.  Everyone knows the Premiership has been understrength this season and isn't that difficult to win.  Plus it's been an asterisk season anyway.

You're facing the cream of Europe in the Europa though, a much higher grade of opponent.  Not the shite we barely broke a sweat beating week in and week out.

  2. That miss by Sterling kinda sums him up for me.  Undoubtedly a very talented player, he looks great scoring loads of goals against opponents who are already mentally whipped.  Put in that high pressure situation last night and his lack of top level composure was cruelly exposed.

If that was Watford or some shite like that and City were already winning he would have tapped that in without looking at it, left foot or right.  But at a time when he could have scored one of the most important goals of his career he bottled it.

As Irvine Welsh would say "the shitein cunt".

Sterling's miss and the Ederson error which led to Lyons third has got to be the funniest minute of football I've ever seen. I was in hysterics.

Obviously it doesn't beat Pickford/Origi but comes pretty close, which was a stand alone moment.

I've just watched the highlights on YouTube and you can see the enormity of Sterling's miss hitting him straight away.  And with no other player near him he can't even scream for a dubious penalty, which he normally would even with minimal contact.

And Ederson's howler so quickly after if rubs glorious salt into self inflicted wounds.

Funniest football action segment of the year for me.  Certainly brightened up a miserable cunt of a Sunday morning !

The same can be said for those on every thread defending FSG as if they are comprised of biblically holy characters. Why don't they stop laboring their points?

The club has spent fuck all over five years and seem likely to continue to do so after winning everything. It's totally understandable why fans are asking questions at the lack of investment right now.

This thread is called 'go fuck yourself FSG'. What do you expect to read on here? If it's tedious find another thread.

Pretty much what I have read from the same faces, repeatedly.

There are some valid points being made but at times, but it's difficult to pick the wheat from the chaff.

So if it's quite alright with you I'll read what the fuck I like and comment as I see fit.

The truth is its exhausting all this banging heads in here. I hate them, I always have done, my stance has not changed over the years, I'm very wary of them as owners. All good when the sun is shining but their stewardship will come under scrutiny when Jurgen leaves we will then see just how instrumental he has been, I'm hoping its not a Ferguson moment. I also get why people like them as success must mean they are doing something right to people.

I just don't think it is hard to see why people are polarised over them. As frencheyeglass said its constant mixed messages of how clever and great we are regarding finances, whilst crying poverty and being prudent on the flip side.

I had an argument with that plum Gorst the other day about our winnings, he thought it was ridiculous that I was suggesting we were getting 175million for winning the Prem And this is our local Club correspondent. As I've said before maybe the problem lies with our 'connected' journalists, constantly spinning out contradictory content, but no doubt at all in my mind that its coming directly from the club, which in turns winds up the fanbase.

I liked it better when you just discovered we'd signed someone in the paper in the 80s!

Then why continue with it ?

I'm sure there are posters in here who are equally fucked off seeing you constantly bleating about the owners.

You hate them - we get the message.

Do you really have to ram the message home on here several times a day ?

I get where you're coming from but you're labouring the same point over and over, and it's fucking tedious.

  6. Looking at that graph, if it's accurate then United kind of hit a plateau in 2016 while we were still on an upward trajectory which got steeper in 2018.  United are a cash fucking behemoth and always will be, we will do well to even get close to them in those terms.

I wouldn't mind seeing that graph updated for this season, to see if the same pattern remains.

Ironically enough Robbo is the player I see most smiling and laughing on the pitch.  Usually when he's getting in somebody's grid like, and making other people angry instead.

Nothing more exciting than the English champions finally making a 10 million bid for a player...Liverpool fans across the globe over the moon. Am a little embarrassed and furious myself, no matter how you want to spin it.

Being current World Club, European and Premiership champions doesn't excite you then ?

If Transfer Top Trumps is more what interests you then prepare for a miserable transfer window.

The thing is, I'm not asking for the moon on a stick. It'd just nice to be able to know that if Robertson got injured, we weren't relying on a 35 year-old midfielder as back up, or if any of the front three needed a rest, we weren't having to call on a midfielder with 43 goals in an 11 season career to fill in.

Maybe it's passé these days, but I like the principle that you should have two players for each position, plus an extra goalkeeper.

At a rough guess I'd say the club will be working on backups.  It's not a secret that we're light in that department.  But that doesn't necessarily need the sums of money spunked on it that many seem to think it does.

Fine, but expecting the manager to keep fashioning silk purses out of sows' ears is no guarantee of future success, I would venture.

The thing is, he isn't doing that.  How do you make an average footballer into a world class one ?  You simply won't unless that ability is already there.  And it's known to be a preference of Klopp's to develop players to their full potential.  Robbo and Trent Arnold being two prime examples.

It's being made to be seen as a bit of a lucky dip, but it clearly isn't.  Whatever the criteria is they use to recruit the right player it's obviously working.  That's not luck, that's a lot of research being done there.  It's also financially effective.  And they're not liable to change that while finances are unpredictable, and neither should they.

I hope Ancelotti does just that.  Imagine the fume from the Bitters if they have a coach who helped the redshite confirm their superiority across Europe, England and especially their home city ?

    Glorious.
