They are being dishonest by constantly making out we are not a sell to buy club when we clearly are.

And that's a crime worth taking the shine off being World, European and English champions ?

    Tough crowd.

Putting it into perspective, I shudder to think where we would be compared to the heights we've hit if they hadn't stepped in when they did.  But I guess there's just no pleasing some folks.  I never could grasp the "look for the black cloud and fuck the silver lining" attitude myself, but whatever floats your boat.

As has been said the issue is the lack of cover we have had been known about for a few years, there has been time to correct the issues but they haven chosen not to.

They are a sell to buy ownership, always have been and always will be. There is nothing wrong with that but it is their lack of honesty on the issue that grates me.

I'm not entirely sure how they've been dishonest, or why if it's a successful tact that other clubs now wish to emulate that it's a big issue.  It's obviously getting results too.

It has happened already, last year.  And I do expect the club to rest on it's laurels, or sell to buy, so why shouldn't I express concerns about that? If we do rest on our laurels this summer window (whenever that may be) and we're top again in December with a 10 point lead would it still be wrong to complain there was little to no investment just because we're top?

And you do know it's possible to be thrilled with how things are going on the pitch and thrilled with Klopp and the players while still questioning FSG?

Looking at that bit in bold, I sincerely doubt Klopp would be on board with that.

Considering the stuff that's going on with Melwood, the proposed stadium work etc, I can't see how that's classed as resting on their laurels.

  4. 5 minutes ago, Moo said:

It's exactly the time to complain.  If you wait until results aren't so good then you'll only be accused by FSG apologists of waiting until results aren't so good and that you wouldn't be complaining if we were top of the league etc.

They are tight bastards who sell to buy whether we are 1st or 5th.

So if you're complaining while we're European, World and almost English champions, when do you stop complaining ?

I understand people's concerns, but I don't get bitching and moaning about stuff that has yet to happen, and possibly won't.

Would some be happier if we were mid table and spunking money left right and centre, a bit like our beloved Bloo neighbours ?  It's hard to believe after the trauma this club has been through in the last 10 years or so that people prefer to find something to whine about rather than appreciate where we are now.  And that doesn't mean that I expect the club to rest on its laurels either.

  5. Over just about a 12 month period, we've won the Champions League, the Super Cup, the World Club Championship and the Premiership is all but a done deal.  By any reckoning, that's astonishing.  I sincerely doubt in my remaining lifetime that our beloved Bloo neighbours will come even remotely close to one of those trophies.  Unless they take the Anfield tour that is.

That's what makes it worse for them, not just the fact that we've had a bit of success, the fact that we've completely ruled the European roost.  The fact that our kids knocked them out of one of the remaining cups that they (theoretically) had a chance in was the icing on the cake, and a stark reminder to them of the yawning gulf between the two clubs.

It all stems from basic, petty jealousy.  The fact that they've spent a king's ransom to catch us up and only fell further behind is more grist to the mill for them, a self consuming bitter circle of jealousy and hatred.

I hope we absolutely fucking wallop them tomorrow night, highlight the gap in class between the two sides completely.

Heehee....it’s killing you this isn’t it.

I’m amazed how much Liverpool fans have gone into overdrive talking about this lately. They’re obsessed, beyond rationale but there’s nothing they can do to stop this stadium.

Every social media outlet I see is just full of Liverpool fans mentioning Everton’s ground. It properly grates them and I can understand why. I’d hate them to be building such a superb stadium, in the city centre, on the banks of the Mersey.

The bit in bold sums up the difference in mentality between the two sets of supporters.  We couldn't give a flying fuck who builds what and where it's built - we're too busy filling the trophy cabinet and breaking records along the way.

The fact that they've got a shack and a cuckoo clock is a funny bonus for us, and it clearly burns them.

I keep saying it, they should redevelop the Park End. They could also buy a bit of derelict land and go to the church, give them 10 million quid for the land it currently sits on, build a new church on the derelict land and fill in that corner. It would still only cost about 150 million tops and give them 52,000 to 55,000 capacity. They'll never afford a 500m pound build for a new stadium. It will cripple them.

Dont know why I care to be honest but it just seems to me if they want to stay the local parochial outlooking club they profess to be, I dont get why they want this super flash stadium away from their roots.

Because they know they'll never compete with us football wise, and if they have a stadium that has one more seat than Anfield, then it's seen as a massive moral victory for them.  They can extend their Blue Shack all they like, it'll just be a slightly bigger shithole of a Blue Shack with no forthcoming success and they fully know it and it'll never be close to what Anfield is.

  8. While it would have been marvellous to seal the Premiership at their shithole just for the nuclear levels of fume, there's something ill fitting about waiting 30 years just to win it at the footballing equivalent of Groundskeeper Willie's shack.

The next best thing for me is to slap them cockeyed on Sunday night and leave us that one win away from glory.

That'll still boil their piss nicely.

Far from ideal if Klopp wants to strengthen those squad places though. Much better to have a bench with players he wants to play rather than has to.

The players he has had to use so far have won the Champions League, the World Club Championship and have one hand on the Premiership trophy.  There's scope for improvement but I don't see any doom and gloom in the results we've had so far.

Liverpool not signing a player has been the highlight of their year.

    Bunch of fucking whoppers.

The fact that we haven't needed to and are still European and World Club Champions with the Premiership all but sown up galls them deeply.  They've spent more than us, and have fuck all but a team full of shite to show for it.

And a fucking cuckoo clock instead of trophies.

In his drunken state, he's obviously looking at the squad list for his own team. The description is perfect for the overpaid dross they have.

You just know as soon as you mention us winning the league or being the best side on the planet they will drown you out with "YMCA" really loud then laugh while looking round at people to laugh along. Desperate little meffs.

What really hurts them though is that they know it's pretty much the truth.  The gap between the clubs was put into glorious perspective by Curtis Jones and co.  It's not just that they want to be where we are, they know full well they're not even close.  Jealousy and bitterness have warped their mindset.

It's a shame that it's come to this, it really is.  But seeing as it is what it is, I hope we somehow seal the title at their shithole.  The ultimate "fuck you" to the irrelevant cunts.

  13. They reek of desperation.  They know they're not in the same solar system as we are football wise, and won't ever be.  So any little moral point they can pick up on they'll be all over it.  And all they do is make themselves look like the sad bitter fuckers they are.

i actually hope their white elephant unicorn stadium goes ahead.  If they think that ticket prices won't rise proportionately then they're even more deluded than I thought.  There's no way they would fill that stadium on a regular basis, and mid to long term that could end up being the concrete boots the fuckers need to drag them down into the championship.

Once the novelty of the stadium wears off (regular home defeats), they'll be lucky to half fill the gaff most weeks.

Big financial hit, Uzzy ain't gonna bale them out for ever.

  14. I didn't know your family had been hit with that virus shit Dace, sorry to hear that.  Fingers crossed for a full recovery for Mrs Dave too.  That is exactly why I won't go near my own family, that fear of being the one who passes bad shit on.

Great to have a report to read to break up the monotony.  The Maldini/Nicol comparison is a no brainer, but Nicol would have beaten him in a crisp eating competition and I don't reckon Maldini ever scored a first team hat trick.

Someone needs to contact his family and tell them that Grandad has wandered off from the nursing home again, and is currently ranting and raving with a fake trophy in his hands.

The hot weather must have fried his brain (more), bless his cotton bitter blue socks.

There's no question Ferguson was a great manager but 2 European Cups in 20 years is poor.

I can't see how any manager who wins 2 European Cups can be dismissed as having a poor record.  He may have been expected to have more considering their dominance domestically, but there can't be that many managers around with 2 European Cup wins to their name.  It's still a massive achievement, but we know a man with 3 on his record.....

Imagine them all calling for the season to be null and void and it’s that that finally kills their club off. They all go on about morals and the game being ruined and corrupt in the favour of the ‘Sky 6’ so I’d Imagine most of them would love it if they had to start all over again in the Conference.. Saturday 3pm kick offs, singing about a virus costing us the title whilst their losing to Chorley.

    Fixed.

  18. Met him at a charity football match here where I live a couple of years ago.  He made time for every single fan who wanted a pic, autograph or to chat, whereas the majority of the rest (Heskey included) couldn't get away quick enough.

I know he blabbers a lot of shite on tv but he made my nephew's day on that occasion, and a lot of other kids too.

  19. I remember when Rafa brought him home and I got the rare opportunity to get to a game.  All the way up the motorway I was praying I'd get to see God, and even dared to dream of seeing him score.

I'm pretty sure it was against Bolton, and he scored the only goal of the game.  It was a bit of a scuffed effort but I had tears in my eyes as he celebrated, to me it was the greatest goal I'd ever seen scored live.

So that's 2 outside agencies putting Everton staff into furlough but FC Class and Dignity wouldn't do that to their non outsourced employees.

"Everton's long-time catering partner - a relationship that stretches over a decade - last month donated 635kg of fruit, vegetables and other produce that had been intended to be used at the Merseyside derby to the North Liverpool Foodbank."

635Kg of fruit and veg, over half a metric tonne.  Was that just to throw at their own players if we wrapped the title up at their shithole ?
