  1. ok i have had enough negativity for one night... thats done me in. we always finish strong in a season so i think we should just concentrate on that and backing the team we have. im a loyal red, always have been, always will be and i will never stop believing. things badly need fixed. some things are a huge deal and some a minor tweak here and there. i am waiting to turn the corner. 2. its because the gap between top and (almost) bottom is becoming shorter and shorter that this is shown actually. this season is a very good example to be honest in case you have not been paying attention. or are you thinking the bottom half is no better than they were and the top half is just all worse than usual? maybe, maybe
  3. yeah, ha ha coz there are hundreds of other shit teams in the top half of the premiership, the most competative league in the world. i'm as gutted as any other red that what started as a season filled with bristling promise has turned into a shower of shite but for crying out loud have some people lost their minds. i'm assuming the quoted poster is actually not entirely serious, ha ha, but there are some pretty messed up opinions flying about all over at the moment
  4. i dont recall Rafa ever saying sorry for low entertainment value, and neither he should. i quite like the way Rafa refuses to be baited by post match interviewers to be honest. i kinda miss jose as i so looked forward to hearing about all kinds of things such as different kinds of eggs you can buy in supermarkets.
  5. football management is not an exact science and if all the numerous uncalculable variables dont fall into place all at once then that is no great surprise. a football manager strives for control of as many of these variables as possible and also meticulously plan contingency plans for likely outcomes in many cases. say for example that players do everything right in training and give the boss confidence that they are able to carry out what he needs them to do against a certain opponent with certain strengths. they will be selected on the basis that they have shown that they are intelligently able to do a job in a specific position having the appropriate skills in which to carry out that which is expected of them. in some cases a player is selected on the basis that they are automatic due to their importance to the team. others are selected due to having good understanding with others they are selected alongside. and others will be selected because something different is required for this specific opponent and a player has shown that they have what is needed. then the game kicks off and they cant even perform to the level of a training session earlier in the week. is that the managers fault? it may be if prior to kickoff he should have noticed that those player(s) suddenly left him bereft of confidence and not switched them for others. isn't that a problem every manager is faced with at any time? and isnt it the case that a poor run breeds poor performances and vice versa. something needs to change but im not sure that at this stage its the manager.
  6. i really hope Rafa doesnt come online and have a squint through forums!!!! the guy is hardly likely to be able to function as the manager of one of europes proudest and most decorated clubs. how can anyone be expected to do their best work in the face of so much dissent from all angles including, most importantly, his OWN SUPPORTERS! thankfully i think Rafa is pretty damn good when his back is to the wall so just maybe the abuse and blame that is being shovelled at him will actually provide him with the platform to shove it down many peoples throats. Despite the numerous inept and shocking displays from the squad this season i believe that most of whats good about us this year is the planning of Rafa. there are no managers who start and improve continually year on year without severe bad patches. there is nobody available to replace Rafa up to his quality at present so can we just drop it once and for all. consider the boardroom crap that has continually been a lugging huge thorn in Rafa's side this year along with numerous important player injuries and now most of us are not only doubting him but baying for his head. Its pure crap and its not the Liverpool way. We need and the players need to understand what being a Red is all about and get behind the team and in the players case work hard and slog their guts out for the shirt. Bill Shankly drummed it into the players that they played for us, so if Rafa has not reiterated that yet then i hope he does and i hope they start playing for us! Rafa, You'll Never Walk Alone!
  7. im guessing i might be in a bit of a minority but i still believe in Rafa. the players have to fight for the shirt they wear as well as Rafa getting tactics and selections correct. For all we know Rafa's choices have been perfect all season but when it came to the crunch the players just didnt do the job. However i do agree Alonso was a f-up we have yet to find a plan to recover from. Time will tell and i just hope it turns out to be sooner rather than later. We have gone from having a world class midfield general to not having one at all. What we are left with are not poor players by many teams standards but they are nothing without the vision in midfield we have lost. Rafa did indeed bugger that one up good n proper. We should all get behind Rafa and make him feel wanted so we can help boost his likely fading confidence. Allowing him to just become more and more jaded will not help our case. When the manager is battered into submission it all rubs off on the players. look at Gerrard recently, he is not a happy bunny at all and thats showing in his performances and probably contributory to his current suseptibility to injury this season. If we were on a good run all this would disappear before too long. keep the faith! YNWA
