Also noticed we had three penalties in a win over the Mancs, Gerrard scoring two and missing one. I'd forgotten that. That's pretty mad too.

Maybe Salah would actually prefer to move next summer anyway. He's been good this season so far, he looks like he's up for it, so maybe he fancies a decent season here before he leaves next summer.

Yes, the defence is a bit worrying. In the worst case scenario, if Trent and Konate are injured, you're probably looking at playing Gomez right back and Quansah and Matip at CB in the next game. Might not happen of course and obviously van Dijk will be back at some point but it just feels dicey at the back when you have two injury prone players like Konate and Matip to consider. Another CB would surely have made sense.

Yes, he's a decent squad player and can also cover right back. I'd be happy enough keeping him in general. Some terrible performances though at times and seems to lose the plot so I can see why he gets criticism. The next new CB will replace Matip presumably. 

Yes this is looking like a potentially very good good signing already. Only 22 as well, you wouldn't know it really. Also think he's played every minute so far? Thought he looked a bit ropey in the first half against Chelsea but been impressive since then. Thank fuck we signed him rather than Mount.

Yes, indeed, if you're faced with two choices - keep going and maybe win a silver or just decide to guarantee yourself a gold, who wouldn't fancy having a gold?! There shouldn't be two golds available for one event, it's as simple as that. Incredible really that that's permitted. Yes, it's a load of bollocks. One of them's winning a gold and one of them's winning a silver, but they can just decide between themselves to both have a gold instead?! Nonsense.

I suspected this would happen because pretty much everybody was saying it wasn't a red and presumably they know that. They'd have taken far more shit if they'd upheld it. Plus it clearly wasn't a red.

I think at certain points certain refs have had agendas/biases against us but it's odd to hear calls about corruption today when the ref gave us one of the softest penalties you'll see all season and VAR didn't overturn it. The red card was a terrible decision though, that's for sure, and it's hard to take seriously people like Mike Dean suggesting it's a red.
