Completeness is overrated, Gerrard is very good at most things but not the best at anything, I would rather have the best attacking mf in the world and the best defensive mf in the world (eg Xavi and Gattuso) than any one jack of all trades, master of none.

I think you will find if you go to the continent most people would take Xavi and Iniesta over Gerrard in a heartbeat. Maybe if Gerrard was Catalan and Xavi was a Scouser playing for your beloved club you'd have a different view on who is better.

Keita, Marquez and Toure are different types of players to Gerrard so that negates the argument of whether they are better. Xavi is the best midfielder on the planet and Iniesta is brilliant, I think you will find both are superior to Gerrard, not simply "close to his level". Liverpool fans are muppets.

What makes you think Barcelona would want Gerrard? They have Xavi, Iniesta, Yaya Toure, Marquez, and Keita who can all fill the central and wide midfield positions. I'm sure if Barcelona are looking for a midfielder right now, it sure as fuck isn't Gerrard. Also, whilst I'm not a fan of comparing players of differing position and type, Torres is far more important to your club than Gerrard.
