What the fuck is going on with our medical staff, we really seem to get far more injuries than teams. I'm not talking talking the permanent crocks either

Next season will be telling as to whether it’s down to the intensity of training or if the medical staff are a bit substandard. Will also be interesting to see if we start getting a bit more transparency from a new manager, as to nature of injuries and duration.

Salah is a shadow of his former self, despite some thinking he can go on until his mid 30s. Darwin is still very inconsistent, whilst Diaz didnt have enough end product even at his peak, never mind this version of himself.

Whoever wins the league this year will be the worst team to win it for a while i think.

Said this to a lad at work the other day, it’s not a good league this year.

The lack of any intensity is concerning, everything so lethargic, I can take playing shit but at least give it a fucking go, they don’t look like they’re arsed. Considering what’s at stake, that’s fucking shocking.

Not got a clue what the game plan is at the moment, like you say there’s fuck all intensity and the passing is sloppy as anything. Go on lads, go and sleepwalk your way through a game at one of the more intense away grounds in the league seems to be the instruction

  4. He was excellent at the start of the season and but there was a lot of hyperbole about him after that which makes the dip in form look worse than what it is imho.

I think he’s already played a few too many games and is running a bit on fumes, not just for us but I’m pretty sure he plays almost every minute for his country too. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a rest on Wednesday.

    Disgraceful performance.

Nunez is a complete liability and Macalister is bang average.

This Trent experiment needs to end, he thinks he's Pirlo but plays like Charlie Adam.

This Trent experiment seems like a huge indulgence to me, just doesn’t look like us at all.

That said, today wasn’t down to it, it was just a sloppy half arsed performance by two thirds of the team.

We'll put these away in the second half, they'll be knackered.

Ashamed to say I repped this post, utterly wretched second half all round that i never saw coming

that said, Nunez doesn’t get off scot-free for the sitter at the back post and hitting the bar in the first,  and how MacAllister has stayed on for the full 90 is anyone’s guess

20 fouls to 12, having more possession and against a team that also is very aggressive in the press, ie lots and lots of players jostling for the ball in tight spaces. Their only card was literally as the clock hit 94 fucking minutes.

I think it makes the players a bit gun-shy after they've seen the way the game is being reffed. It can look lethargic, and maybe some of it was. But it's human nature when you've seen one of their players lean in then just fall down for an easy foul to start hesitating with further challenges.

Yeah, that tends to be what Taylor always does against us, no real howlers but gives a disproportionate amount of free kicks against us for minor contact. Cumulative effect, just like the foul that led to their second. Player tries running through a gap thats not there and chucks himself to the ground.

  8. Weird half from us, another really lethargic start and more evidence that this obsession with Macallister as a 6 isn’t working well, we’re almost wasting him.

Obviously we were a lot better when we woke up, and made this lot look not particularly special. Can’t help thinking the last few games against them were in our heads from the start.

The best way to not constantly have to get ourselves out of a jam is to not get ourselves into a jam in the first place. The root cause is players not being switched on from the get-go. Combine that with an opponent starting like a train and a ref deciding to book one of our players for a very minor (and first) infringement, and very quickly the combination of all 3 factors can be very difficult to recover from.

Mac might have been sluggish through jet lag, but his early yellow meant he couldn't risk putting in another challenge that might get him in trouble. That yellow was soft as fuck.

    The

The soft yellow for Mac got even more infuriating when a Wolves player literally hauled Nunez back right in front of Oliver and he did nothing
