This is one of the numerous reasons I suggest putting gnasher on ignore. It's not just constant Twitter spam, he doesn't do any sort of critical thinking- or even read, never mind understand- the tidal wave of shite he posts.

On your excellent point (made on the pod, too) about the "moment" the ball is played during a VAR check, this is absolutely crucial.  If my memory is correct, there are 24 frames per second in digital video.  If you filmed a foot kicking a ball, the "contact" will cover virtually all 24 frames - and sometimes more, depending on the type of strike.

Now, when two people are running (sometimes in opposite directions, so, unscientifically "twice" the speed!) the offside line shifts massively in a split second.  So, the moment the "pause" button is pressed is VITAL.  Yet, pundits and journalists never seem to talk about it!  There is an arbitrary "press pause there" mumbled by the VAR, and then the lines are the only thing that is analysed!  But if a few frames are rewound of moved forward - the boot will still be in contact with the ball ("the moment the ball is played") yet the lines will be in completely different places.

It should be 60fps, 24 is cinema film rather than digital. But the point still stands, the point of contact with the ball and the relative positions of players might not be captured in the same frame, so measuring to seemingly sub-centimetre distances isn't possible. I'm sure I remember an article which said the best it could be is more like 6 inches. Strangely, that doesn't seem to have been taken up, nor has whether the pitch is modeled to the accuracy required, the lines being drawn have to be absolutely parallel to something, and with the best will in the world, the guy drawing the touchlines isn't going to be spot on to millimeters.

When tablets split out of the pop out packs - paracetamol we’ve got from some supermarket - own brand in a blue box - every single one of them I’ve had out of it has split and you have 4 pieces to swallow and can taste the bitter shitty taste. We’ve had them ages so I forgot for a while each time I’d have some as there had been a gap, but I remembered this time. They can fuck off

'They' must have changed something in the packaging, I take co-Codamol and gobble nicotine tablets like they're fucking Smarties and they're both ridiculously difficult to get out, especially in one piece. I reckon it's probably either immigrants or disabled benefit scroungers or disabled benefit scrounging immigrants who are in charge of formulations these days.

    Interesting.

I’d counter that with he’s taken on projects with established characters and fan bases, so they were always likely to make money.

How is Batman v Superman his biggest box office hit? The Snyder Cut is marginally better, it’s still, at best, below average (MARTHA !!!).

That Owl cartoon and Sucker Punch, 2 originals (or certainly significantly less well known fan bases), both shite, both commercial flops.

Warner Bros has wasted millions / billions giving him the keys to the DC films. They were too busy wanting to ride Marvel’s wave and make a quick buck instead of creating something good.

James Gunn Peacemaker is absolutely miles better than anything Snyder has ever made (it’s better than all the Marvel TV shows as well).

Yeah, I think the early DC films he did were successful because superhero films were still riding the crest of the Marvel Avengers wave. Something similar happened with dross like Captain Marvel which still made bank despite being crap. That's not the case any more, people are bored of them and Disney has disappeared up its own arse trying to pander to a female audience which just isn't there.

Multi communication channels - in my office we have Teams, E mail, Whats App, texting, voicemail and good old fashioned phones. Very occasionally  we meet in person. There is no consensus on how to talk to each other so I have to check 5 - 6 channels all day every day just to get a message. Drives me fucking nuts.

Fortunately, we got an edict that everything had to go through Teams, with email mainly used for external customers not in our Azure tenancy. Unfortunately, Teams sucks balls.

I do wonder how he convinced Warner Bros to virtually give him unlimited funds and A list casts to build the DC Universe and given the failure of that, how he convinced Netflix to give him the money to make 2 of the most expensive movies ever made.

Snyder’s films look good and have decent set pieces, his story’s and characters are terrible. The sci-fi Michael Bay.

His films are shallow and flashy, but they generally make good money- https://www.the-numbers.com/person/134500401-Zack-Snyder#tab=technical&all_technical_credits=oa2

After his more recent disasters though, I doubt he'll be given such budgets again.

Can't remember if I've said this before but I reckon within 12 to 18 months of the Tories losing the election, GB news will be scrapped.

Or ramped up when Labour haven't solved all the problems within the first 12-18 minutes.

Those people taking pictures were annoying, they were blocking the view of the video camera. And Vicky Sparks should take note, that's how you do a commentary.

It's like when a teacher says "I like a joke as much as the next man".

And you think to yourself 'No you don't. You massive boring cunt'.

Those same cunts usually have a 'You don't have to be mad to work here...' mug and say things like 'no, I'm half left' when you ask them if they're alright.

I've been saving up bottle caps for years just in case. I'm planning on being a moneylender following the Apocalypse, swingeing rates of interest all enforced by my gang of mutants.
