Skrtel will definitely play. I'd prefer Agger's pace alongside Carra personally, and Martin can be a liability but the fact he didn't play last night confirms what we all expect.

I like C. Cole at a better club under good man management I think he could be very good for us.

We are still in for Toivonen, Konchesky and possibly another midfielder. Can that Ruiz play on the left? I don't think Roy has addressed our real weakness, which is in the wide positions. Potentially Johnson can play on the right of midfield but having Babel and Jovanovic on the left doesn't fill me with confidence in the least...

Joe Cole was very popular with the fans at chelsea, I work with a chelsea fan who absolutely adores him.

Cole would be the better option for me, he got 10 league goals for a fuckin poxy west ham team last year thats in about 23 games, which is a decent return, he has the pace to trouble defences. The gamble is his injury record, but at a better team I think he could do a good job and be a good backup to torres. We have to make sure ngog is not our backup to torres again this year.

He should be our first choice left back, seen as insua is poor defensively and aureilo will get injured walking his dog on the friday before the match. Last night he looked very comfortable attacking on his weaker side.
