  1. I wouldn't say that any of Viera, Gerrard and Keane are technical players and there is no way that Gerrard beats any of Keane and Viera on technique, or the other way around, no chance. All three are about the same, Alonso, Scholes, Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta are real footballing technicians whilst the real engine room of the team is built up with the Gerrard-Viera-Keane type player. Most if not all the the truly great teams have a combination of power, ferocity coupled with techniqe and creativity. Even Barca now have Yaya Toure who has been their midfield engine whilst the likes of xabi, iniesta out pass the opposition to death, even not taking into account messi. At the moment the combination is right with Gerrard and Alonso but its only because we have been relying on Gerrard to rescue us that he has been forced to step in upfront. His skill upfront should be used as an extra weapon, not as his main threat. His main skill is his god-like ability to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and batter the opposition to death by dominating midfield and squeezing the territory to enable the forwards to do their work. If you move Gerrard as an advanced midfielder/striker we leave a gap behind and that is shown as weaker teams them pack the midfield leaving SG in sort of no-mans land. It is god-like yesm but he can't do everything, everytime and for everygame. It's a common theme, too much for SG to do. One or the other, not both. It's a testament to the lad that he does both roles anyway but he risks injury.
  2. All three are massive and legends of the game. Gerrard is just unfortunate in that he really has not had a consistent foil throughout a season. Xabi is the closest by far had were it not for his slight inconsistency but it's almost clicking perfectly. Viera had the awesome Pettit in the astonishing 1997-98 demolition of the Mancs for the Gooners to get their second double. Keane has had Robson, Ince and then Scholes, and has probably more medals than Viera and Gerrard have EPL wise put together. Viera had the awesome Edu and Gilberto with him too in the historic 2003 season - although that was equally down to cunto extraordinaire Henry who pretty much owned everyone in the EPL that season. Viera was also very good in the 1998 world cup as well as the 2000 euros but of course again, had grandmaster Zidane as his foil or rather the other way around. On some levels then his achievments except for a UCL, are more than Gerrard and Keane. Quite frankly, we're lucky that we have had all three in the EPL to watch whichever way you look at it. Some titanic battles between all three of them. Also worth noting that we probably only saw Keane and Viera fight it out at the peak of their powers one on one. I always thought that Gerrard being the younger was slightly playing catch-up but only in terms of peak performance. Viera is a shadow of himself now and Keane is well fucked but it's clear that the best player nevermind midfielder at this time in the EPL is Gerrard. Don't think he has ever been so powerful, athletic and dominant.
  3. I think it would be shit. One of them would have to give in - you can't have all three of these monsters in one midfield and for that midfield to replicate any of the powerful midfields that they have worked in. They are all too similar (1) utter cunts, (2) box to box enforcers (3) can defend, pass and shoot (4) captains, so could not work together to get the team the result.
  4. Agreed, a Mr. Average player giving Mr. Average commentary. Pigswill.
  5. Today for me at least was another example of why Reina is not the best in the EPL. For the second goal his reaction time was too slow and the first goal he was positionally incorrect, and again, reaction time too slow. Today's defensive performance would also confirm to me at least that both Skrtel and Agger at this stage of their careers are not world class - a point I made earlier in my rant of which the essential focus is that, players and/or management ability, is overrated by a lot of us. Very good yes and solid but the ease at which they were shredded open by a team that has essentially dog shit for midfield and attack, is a concern.
  6. TORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! TOP OF THE LEAGUE FUCK YOU ALL!
  7. Oh fucking close! At last Nando.
  8. If Nando warms up anymore he will fucking do his hamstring. FFS - get on or fucking sit down.
  9. Howard Webb is a cheesy bell-end.
  10. We'll take that - come on you twats!
  11. FFS, there is no time to loose, we need to bring on the rain, FFS, what the fuck are we waiting for? I don't get this.
  12. Shit positioning by Reina and too much ball watchin gby Skrts and Agger. Sliced us up silly.
  13. 30 mins to prove us all wrong. Surely, he has to bring on Nando for Babel at 75mins if something hasn't happened by then?!
  14. Babel - cunt. Am confident that Kuyt can make something happen though.
  15. Agreed, in fact you say that about the whole Revolver album. Almost perfect.
  16. Donkey Adam's Pompey have been dog crap. Our positional play has been good and at the back we have been hard and organised. Upfront we have been weak. A good platform to build on for the second half with Nando to come and do the business. Give Egg Nog another 20mins and if continues to do fuck-all, then bring on El Nino to fuck them up and send that Donkey his P45 the cock smoking wino.
  17. Sopcast Channel YES, is working well.
  18. Channel YES is working sweet, only got 70% of green bar thing but it's good enough
  19. Oh god, psycho is back ... yeah, let's rock 'em hard, Def Leppard style?! Ha ha fickle as fuck Chavs singing you don't know what you're doing to Scolari. What a bunch of 21 century synthetic louis vuitton generation "fans". Cunts. Let's fuck Portsmouth up and ensure that Cocaine Junkie Donkey Adams get fired.
  20. Exactly where I feel on it. Although, like I also said, maybe we are living too much in the past. This is the new format and the UCL is the child of the traditional European Cup. Whether it was the European Cup or the Champions League, you are still the champion of Europe period. The deeper point as you say, are you the "best" if you win the UCL without having won your own league. Probably not. Again, it's not to negate the achivement, rather to put it in perspective against another competition which by all accounts is a different animal.
  21. Have you posted anything of merit, ever? Anything coherent; anything logical; anything demonstrating even the most basic of education? Anything illustrating an elementary grasp of sense logic, reason, a basic knowledge of international, European and domestic football? You're just a voyeur, trying to pick out things in posts that don't exist. now go off to bed and have a wank. Trust me, it would be more interesting. Now don't let me scold you again, you simple minded gimboid.
