  1. Same feeling I had against Athletico, everyone saying its going to easy but I don't think it will be.
  2. But no recognised striker. I see them playing a 4-5-1 and hit on the counter (or a 4-6-0 if preferred).
  3. CHARLIE NICHOLAS' PREDICTION Liverpool will have had a chance to recover from Tuesday's defeat in Madrid. We knew they would get it tough; they did not play well and had lots of the ball, but it was a dogged team that got physical and defended well, and that agitated Liverpool. This happens and it is the Champions League after all. We saw West Ham go to Man City and park the bus. David Moyes went with Michail Antonio instead of Sebastien Haller due to counter-attack threat. Robert Snodgrass could not keep the ball, and West Ham could not get out. If they go down 2-0, they will be happy with that, with goal difference to think about. Liverpool will be the exact same, as it is three points closer to the Premier League title. They just need to get another game ticked off and though the crowd will want it to be more exciting, they will be happy to just get over the line too. Liverpool will take it nice and easy if they do score early, and then can afford to make the changes. Jurgen Klopp has to protect some of these players and do not want them to pick up any injuries for the return leg. The result will not be as damaging as some people may think. CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-0 EARLY WEST HAM TEAM NEWS Ryan Fredericks will miss the trip to Anfield after injuring ligaments in his shoulder in West Ham's defeat at Manchester City. The Hammers await results from a specialist before knowing the true extent of the right-back's injury. Andriy Yarmolenko remains sidelined, with Jack Wilshere also a long-term injury absentee.
  4. WEST HAM TEAM NEWS Team to play Liverpool: Fabianski, Cresswell, Ngakia, Diop, Ogbonna, Noble, Rice, Soucek, Snodgrass, Anderson, Antonio. Subs: Randolph, Balbuena, Zabaleta, Lanzini, Bowen, Fornals, Haller.
  5. LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS Team to play West Ham: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Van Dijk, Gomez, Fabinho, Keita, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Adrian, Lovren, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Lallana, Origi, Matip.
  6. Talking about mentality, Arsenal are just as bad as Everton. Any defence made up of Mustafi and Luiz is going to have problems.
  7. Actually I want to see Mini in action; Salah up top with Mini and Ox on either side with Keita, Gini and Milner in the middle.
  8. Of course they would, there is no patience in today's football; no matter how much he has improved them.
  9. The race for the last champions league place is absolutely fascinating now. A few teams finding a bit of form late on in the season.
  10. He hasn't exactly busting a gut trying to get back but I'm not calling him fat because of it. Whilst he did have a poor game, I do remember how well he played for us. Needless to say that whilst his performance did leave him open to criticism, I don't think that he would of got back in time for the second goal.

  12. But he does get a touch to it. If he does then it's the right decision. If he just goes through the attacker without getting a hand on it, I agree it's a pen.
  13. The KDB hand ball was a complete joke, I dont care if he was protecting himself, his hands were raised and were in an unnatural angle. Unless the rules are different when setting up the wall for a free kick, it's a pen. The Ederson one was more 50/50 and I can see why it wasn't given. From the replays I can see he got the ball, in fact they both did. In today's game that is a pen if he didn't get a hand on it.
  14. Good goal from Alonso. This could get ugly for Spurs.
  15. This "anti-football" ideology that some managers employ hampers football matches. It hasn't got a place in modern day football tactics and it's sad to see it being used at the likes of Spurs. There were a decent team with a decent manager but it seems that we really did cause damage at all levels at the Champions league final. Its hit them hard and have not been able to recover since.
  16. I hate experts who said this was an easy game. It is anything but. Only ourselves to blame. Need to be better at Anfield.
  17. I hate games like these. We need more creativity in the final third.
