Watching the game at a pub with a couple of mancs... real smug, cunts...
I'm considering the pub but it has all the ingredients for a prison sentence coming my way when I go on a anti United whirlwind rampage as Mourinho starts geeing the crowd up if they look like winning
-
I was apprehensive anyway but no Clyne or Matip?
Hmmmm....
Come on LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Liverpool in off field utter incompetence shocker
-
I would set up pretty conservatively, let them come on to us and hit them on the break. I think that's what Mourinho would least want us to do.
Hitting them on the break very difficult without Mane.

It tickled me.
It had me all a flutter.
Lets stop now, that was terrible
-
Underrated aspect of Mané's play is his ability to hold it up and win slow or bobbly passes through sheer speed, strength and determination. Matip's feathery, cushioned passes are also missed hugely. Delighted to see Coutinho back, hopefully that's the end of Firmino out wide. It was a pleasure to see him twist and turn 6 times in a second after weeks of Can trying to playmake in straight lines.
Feathery.
Dont know why that amused me but it did
-
I was travelling so missed it, can somebody make the summary of the match? I will watch the highlights. As I understood, lots of possesion nothing else than that?
I opted to watch Game of Thrones so I cant offer much.
However I can tell you that a bloody great dragon re-appeared after going missing for a bit.
And a dwarf got drunk

Part of me thinks let us park the bus for a change.
Mignolet
Karius
Clyne Moreno Matip Klavan Lovren Milner Gomez
Henderson
Sakho
-
Take Mane out and we pretty much become the side that limped over the line in 7th or 8th or whatever last season
-
Time to send the man round to see Matip:
-
I'm just relieved the goal wasn't another "howler" from Karius or Lovren so we avoid days of expert punditry and endless replays.
Think Klopp got the two line ups for the cup games the wrong way round. First team could have seen off Plymouth and have a rest and the youngsters would have probably created and learnt more by playing a half decent side who wanted to actually play, unlike Plymouth.
Dont fancy us at the weekend. I'd liken it to being a bit like Rocky's first fight with Clubber Lang in Rocky 3 coming up given our past two outings in comparison to theirs.
-
We can't get him to make a cup of tea in January, but we'll monitor him with a view to getting him to make a brew in the summer, at which point we won't want one.
Ayre will come back with an empty mug
-
I read the club splashed £26m - £28m on Firmino instead of Dele Alii because the club wanted a more established experienced player to go straight into the first team?
Yeah, we missed the boat spectacularly with Dele, it happens sometimes.
To be fair Spurs got Alli (then loaned him back) in the same year we signed Firminio. Alberto was a couple of years before.
We had monitored the shit out of Alli though.
I guess had we signed him and someone else spent £20m+ on Firminio we would all have been up in arms about not being able to compete/spend etc.
Both very good players- Alli looks as though he has a bit of a edge about him- could come off the rails or go on to greater things.
Who's the lad that was bombed out of United and was at Lazio last time I heard?- In answer to my own question- Ravel Morrison.
-
To be honest I'm not sure that he has the bulk, tenacity, engine and drive that a lad like Luis Alberto has.
Ayre would have felt shopping at MK DONS was a bit beneath him.
Think Alli went to Spurs for £5m.
Alberto cost £6.8m.

If we'd drawn with City and beaten Sunderland it wouldn't seem such a punch in the guts in a strange way.
It's a good haul of point over the Christmas period.
Agree with most that we have to spend now. I felt we needed to anyway, but we won't see Sturridge until April, the lack of clarity on Matip suggests issues, Coutinho and Lallana are both prone to niggles and I'm not sure we are clear on Henderson?
What I do know is, listening to the last 10mins, it would seem we were playing everything through Moreno.....!
That says it all really
-
At least we should have back Matip, Henderson and Coutinho for the mancs.

Don't count on it

I've just checked and he did indeed play every game of the 2015/2016 season for Schalke. Here you can see what his injury record was like before that, the fractured foot followed by a bruised foot are the only extensive injuries he had the season before. http://www.transfermarkt.com/joel-matip/verletzungen/spieler/82105
Thanks- hopefully puts this latest niggle behind him and goes on to become one of the greats.
Don't mind admitting, the potential he's shown excites me in ways that aren't normal for a 39 year old man.....

Some rumours he wont play
Makes sense not to risk him with so many games in the coming weeks
Ok. Cheers.
Anyone know what his injury record was like at Schalke? Think he could be the CB we've lacked for years, since Hyypia I'd say, only worry is injuries.
Klavan is probably well suited for playing Stoke to be fair.
-
Is Matip available?
Does he get in a side that has kept 2 clean sheets?
-
Or as the old boy at my work always called him
Fuck off Pardo
The football ramble might be worth a listen. They love giving the prick some grief.
The bad news is that fat jabba the hut looking fucker will be winging his way down to south london.
English managers and corruption, yet still they get employed
And, despite being actually sacked, get paid off each time.
Allardyce probably actually hopes to be sacked in about 18 months
-
Its likely we got him from the "only crap while playing for Liverpool" pot.
In good (and very shit) company
Morientes
Balotelli
Ziege (although Im not sure if he was that bad)
Carroll
Benteke
James
etc etc etc
-
Sturridge is a proper striker, the only one we have. He's a natural, but as we all know, we can't rely on him. Forget that he can't press and close down.
If he was 100% fit all season he plays every week.
If we can sign a finisher that's even 80% as good as him that can actually stay fit we will be in the title race right to the end
-
People criticise the bench but ordinarily that should include Matip, Can, Sturridge, Coutinho, Ings etc.
We aren't going to sign another 3 or 4 decent players who don't even get a look in when they are fit
Man U at Mordor (A) 4pm. 15/1/2017 Fuck off Mourinho no more from Trumo
