Everton keep hold of Lukaku, sign Rooney and one or two others of Schneiderlin level they could push us out of the equation if we don get our shit together.
If we were ever in it
-
Problem with the striker issue is we can go and sign one and then be ultra reliant on him not getting injured.
Guess what Im saying is we need two!
-
Battle of the soft cunts.
In fairness to them they trailed Bournemouth 3-0 and pulled it back. Crossed my mind last night. Although they brought on Giroud to chase the game. We brought on out of form Origi

Listen, Im as gutted as anyone about last night's 'effort.' Im one who really considered up until the turn of the new year we really were in the mix for number 19 and we were.
It has undoubtedly gone to shit since then. I think the tv scheduling screwed us over with those 2 games in less than 48 hours and I also think a shit boss eyed ref at sunderland didnt help (funny how people go on about united or chelsea getting assists by refs to win games but when Liverpool get a ref who gives shite decisions against us, all a sudden it is 'cant use the ref as the reason we didnt win, blah, blah, fucking blah).
People keep saying Klopp's had 3 transfer windows. That's correct, he has but, 2 of those windows were winter ones where fuck all quality players move. One of those 3 transfer windows opened a little over 8 weeks after he arrived as manager but because he's Klopp, he's supposed to have identified not just any old tramp to play for us but some world class player in the making that no one else has.
He's had one summer window and he brought in Mane and Wijnaldum plus Karius. When he was appointed, I said he needed 2 or 3 summer windows. I stand by that. He got us to a position this season I didnt expect for at least another 12 months.
Maybe Klopp's was naive with his style of pressing football but no one is telling me we've been shit from the beginning of the season. We've played some fantastic stuff up to new year that people shouldnt forget or dismiss.
If \ when klopp fucks off, the next type of manager we'll get in my opinin if we are not careful, will be more tony pulis level than Jurgen Klopp level.
I have a feeling that will happen. He wont be sacked as FSG like his status on the world stage.
Its starting to feel we are the "rebound" that isnt quite working out as he is not over Dortmund.
In fact, he will probably utter the immortal- "its not you , its me"!
-
The more you think about it- how have we found ourselves in a situation where we had Lucas rarely playing for Rafas side in 2009 to starting as centreback in 2017.
The money that has been spent in those 8 years and Lucas is getting the nod at centreback?
-
Random thoughts-
Need a winter break?- Bullshit based on last night
Not having a half decent actual centre forward on the pitch will eventually catch you out- especially away from home
Why when we attack do our forward players spread out FROM the centre leaving no option at all in the middle?
When was the last time we looked remotely threatening at corners?
How many more times do you play Lucas at centre back before acknowledging it doesnt work- its no longer on him, thats on Klopp now.
Why are we so fucking shit?

I'm not sure in what context but this thread is crying out for the use of the word "juxtaposition,"
I think it applies somewhere.
And "cunt fannies"
-
Just crap off you crap twats
-
Fucking challenge for the ball! Our corners are essentially a free kick to them. We just give it back to them
-
Klopp has to shoulder some of the blame here. I'm harping on now but an actual centre forward, preferably two, in every away game is surely a must.
-
Seems crazy saying this but Klopp has got a massive task on his hands next transfer window. Fucks it up and the anger will inevitably (and rightly??) turn his way
-
How do we make opposition attacks look so potent and look utterly blunt when we get the ball in their box.
Be it open play, corner, free kick etc- it's like they are a back four of Maldinis with Kahn in goal.
-
Need a winter break etc....Do fuck off
-
We burst forward and spread out FROM the centre leaving their box full of blue shirts while we all fanny about out wide
-
They'll get bummed by whoever they play next.
Why do we always play teams that have been shite for months then get some sort of jolt to get them going?
Actually, forget that. It's bollocks.
It's us. Not them. Once we lose here and the pressure drops we'll turn it on again and flatter to deceive.
-
I know Firminio looks hard but I can't help but feel a decent striker would put us on the next level.
Too right.
Especially away from home.
Having a decent actual centre forward has to be a plus for anyside in any league.
Rocket science and all that
-
I have no idea which Liverpool will turn up tonight.
What I do know, is that this is a must win game if we're going to finish in the top four.
Given our form of the last weeks we've created "must wins" in every bloody game.
Be nice to go into a game not shitting yourself that a defeat ends our season

Here's mine:
"What a free kick by Coutinho. We haven't seen one of them for a while. And Mane showing again why he's such an important player for this team with another goal. Leicester gave it a good go, and shame on those players because had they shown that sort of fight all season they would be comfortably mid table with Ranieri still at the helm. Still that's their concern now and I don't care if they are relegated or not. We're up to third and anything can happen in the Man City Man Utd game, and Arsenal haven't got an easy one either, as Southampton are looking good with Gabbiadini."
Ok, potentially more likely than mine!

Hmmmmm....Curiously quiet for a matchday thread.
Probably all drafting our essays that we can post at the final whistle.
Heres mine-
"Gruijic- I have no words- I knew he was good, but I would never have him down as that good. He was sublime. Lovren must be relieved after his early blunder, luckily the boy Gruijic was on hand to absolutely smash them.
What a player. "
-
Gabbiadini is my favourite non liverpool player. Brilliant today but you could tell United were gonna steal it when saints didn't turn all that pressure into more goals.
Fair play ibrahimovic. He doesn't seem to do a lot but he scores shit loads of goals
Signed by Saints at a time when a centre forward would have lifted us no end.
He has that mark of class about him that would have made him some player here, just at the right time

it really pisses me off that despite 'being shite' these twats keep winning things...meanwhile we simply never do - one trophy in the last 10 years for us.
people who say cups don't matter are wrong as well imo....there is very little up for grabs really in the game and this trophy matters in my book - the way we just threw the fa cup aside like it is below us still has me spewing.
winning trophies is everything in football - or at least it should be.
Don't get it either. It's a trophy and raises your profile and gets you winning on the big stage.
Too many clever twat managers throw it away.
Even Bournemouth "had no choice" but to rotate as they couldnt jeapordise the league position. They'd do well to remember they were in Div3 not long ago before they get sniffy about "small" trophies.
As would we.
We fans want silverware. Record books show trophies, not finishing 4th, 5th, 6th etc.
All made worse by our collective ineptitude (us, arsenal, city, spurs etc) who have laid the foundation from which shitcoat can preach to the salivating media from.

Pogba, Herrera, Lingaard, Rojo, Valencia and Neville can all fuck right off. I'd love to punch every single one of the them square in the teeth, wankers.
Post of the season right there

Given the uncertainty around the ownership and how nuts football is, if that Spurs result proves the exception and we fall down the table, who knows what might happen.

Torres was superb at getting Vidic sent off.
Vidic was out of his depth when Fernando was in town.
Comparisons to Rush are valid, I was about to say Rush had better players alongside him.....Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Hyypia, Agger etc werent too shoddy either so maybe that doesnt apply.
You'd still have to give Rush the nod in a starting 11 but having read a few books from Rush's era it would seem most defenders Rush was up against were half pissed most of the time
