I said it in the build up, Gakpo would surely have finished one of the 20 shots we had early on if he had started. Nunez would have been perfect to bring on when the match had gone batshit mental in the last 25mins 

Wish I could say United played like it was their Cup Final but they didn’t

The positive is now the pressure is firmly on Arsenal. They were chasing us down winning and watching us. Now it will be different for them.

The negative- our strikers will no doubt start blowing teams away when it’s too late.

Should have started Gakpo and brought Nunez on to stretch them at the end.

I’d be tempted to start Gakpo over Nunez at the weekend. Nunez isn’t doing much wrong I just think in the United game he would be a game changer as a sub coming on.

The other way round with Gakpo replacing Nunez tends to slow us down

Cant help with Conan but I notice you recommended Gemmell- Ive read all of his books countless times but have yet to find anyone of similar level/style? Do you have any suggestions?

Alonsos achievement this season is unbelievable but does that automatically qualify him for this job? 

Klopp couldn’t have chosen a worse season to leave in terms of who’s available.

Although, when you look at United- they’ve tried pretty much every conceivable option since since Ferguson and none of them have worked 

Klopp and/or Ljinders for one more season until Alonso realises the party is over next season 

Imagine as a player going from half time team talks with Klopp to team talks with Southgate
