It was interesting to see Rafa go three at the back for the last ten minutes today.

I thought they looked decent in defence in the first half but were unable to sustain it for the ninety minutes. Going forward I thought they were poor and we were very comfortable at the back apart from the Jenas chance. They came with a clear game plan of keeping it tight and hitting us on the break but that went tits up once we got the first and they didn't have an answer. One player who did impress me was Zakora, he won plenty of second balls and was particularly dangerous on the break. Jermaine Jenas is dog shit though and a contender for the most overated player in the Premiership, behind Fat Frank naturally.

Good point but I got the impression that was more of a mix up between Hyypia and Finnan as opposed to being Finnan's sole responsibility. Never the less I think Finnan was otherwise impeccable in defence and offered an attacking outlet when going forward.

Only thing that concerned me today was the atmosphere, it was truly wank. I know it was an early kick off and they're never the best but it was shite on wednesday night aswell. Maybe it's because I've been sitting in the Main Stand this season but there hasn't been one impressive atmosphere so far. Hopefully that will change come wednesday, after all there's nothing like a European night to awaken the beast.

I love Momo and he is indeed boss however I didn't think he had one of his best games today and would not be my man of the match. Thought both Alonso and Gerrard were better than Momo today as were Finnan and Hyypia. I thought Finnan was especially impressive considering he had a couple of pacey fowards to contend with in Keane and Defoe.

Just got back from the game, fucking great result and can't complain with that. Thought we were pretty poor in the first half and our passing lacked fluency. Second half however we were rampant, we stepped it up a gear and really punished an average Spurs side. It was nice to see us get a third aswell, too often we ease off teams when we should be humiliating them. Gonzales impressed me and I think the lad has got serious potential, he whipped in a lovely corner in the first half and wasn't afraid to have a run at the full back. Hyypia was his usual reliable self and Riise slotted back in nicely, gotta love that left peg of his. All in all a good days work, six points from Galatassary and Bolton and the garden will be looking rosey once again.

Evening Mr Stanley, as a fellow Birkenheader I'm sure you will concur with me. Birkenhead is a strange case, technically like I say it is out of town however it is closer to the city centre than most areas of Liverpool and when touring the streets it appears to be just another inner city area. The culture of the two places is also virtually the same and were it not for the river then it would most certainly be part of the city.
