You "let the game flow" when you stop players fouling AND you stop them diving.
This style only caters for the latter.

Nunez is an absolute beast.
He'll get 30+ goals next season.
-
People still doubting him?
And Klopp?
The change in system definitely helps our full backs, to be fair.
-
He was relentless today. Such a clever player.
His best position is on the left, and he can cover both the 10 and 9 in the middle too.

Haaland has changed the playing field. It's City's every season until the Saudis start competing properly. Maybe United too, if they get the right manager in.

Mane and Salah are not considered traditional wingers.
They're not considered wide midfielders, either.
Good to see the victim card make an appearance too.

You said something about Minamino and Keita not playing in the same position and then when I replied that positions on the pitch are fluid you then said something about top scorers in a discussion about midfielders. And I'm dumb?
You said we don't play with wingers, we play with "just wide midfielders".
Which infers that Mane and Salah are the wide midfielders.
Which means our 2 top scorers over the past 5 years were both "just wide midfielders".
Which makes you either as thick as pig shit, or someone blinded by the bias that appears while trying to prove his original (and massively wrong) position correct.
Salah and Mane are/were "practically" strikers. Our full backs are "practically" wide midfielders. Minanmino is neither, nor good enough.
Carvalho has done as much in 2 and half league games as Minamino offered in 2 and half years.
And he's "practically" half his age!

He's unbelievably bad. Benteke vibes
151 in the red, and still going

He's better than Fabinho was mid September of his first season.

Top scorers? What are you talking about now? This is the Naby Keita thread.
Ahhh. The old 'play-dumb' routine.
I like it.

Sounds like our game against chelsea is off if reports are to be believed. I dont think this is as bad a thing as some people make out. Plenty of time in the 2nd half of the season to fit the 2 games in and not sure why many seem to think they must be played this side of the winter WC.
Also, we need to fuck the 2 domestic cups off this season. Killed us last season, and we've now won them.

Formations arent rigid, players move around constantly. At least Minamino was avaiable for selection and players can be moved around. Technically we dont play wingers, just wide midfielders.
So our top scorers for the past 6 years have been wide midfielders?
Whatever you say, Vlad lad

Well the original was reportedly made up by a Liverpool fan about the Fred signing and this latest one was made up by a Manchester United fan.

Yes. The true stories are about Roma fans and Wolves fans making fun of us buying Salah and Jota.

We sold Minamino and kept this useless fraud.
Minamino played right wing for us.
May as well complain about Neco Williams being sold.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of weeks in anticipation of all our midfielders getting injured this season, and now they have I thought I'd put it out there. Given that we now have four decent, fit CBs for a moment is there any sense in considering a back three for some games? We've scored 6 goals from corners this season and Van Dijk and Matip have had 18 shots between them. Add Konate into the mix and that could be quite a potent weapon. They're all decent carriers of the ball from the back, also.
I think it'd suit Robertson/Tsimikas and Trent just fine and Fabinho plus one (Henderson or Thiago, ideally) would be resolute. My worry would be the link from that midfield to a 'flat' front three. I think it works well for Chelsea as they have Mount and Havertz to play in that area ahead of the midfield but behind Lukaku. Maybe if Firmino was dropping deep it'd work.
Probably all moot because I can't see Klopp going for it, though didn't we play a back three in one or two games a few seasons ago? I'm happy for the many cleverer than me to explain why it'd ruin our press or nullify Trent or whatever I haven't considered, but it seems like something that might be quite useful for the odd European away tie or something.

Could just as easily post this in the VVD, Robertson, Fabinho or Salah threads.

Yeah, look at our list of outgoings. For a start Mane, Origi and minamino out, Nunez in. Plus the club knew losing Mane and so cheaply they had to go for a marquee signing. They done the minimum they could as they do in most windows.
Ah yes. We definitely made the 65 mil for Nunez on Bosman Origi, 15 mil Minamino and 25 mil Mane.
We then used the net profit from that to buy Carvalho and Ramsey.
Maths is a strong point, I see.

If Bellingham is gonna cost a 100m or so, we'll have to sell about 15 players to pay for him.
A bit like when we bought Nunez this summer, right?

Same cunts on here who said we'd win fuck all and struggle to get top four last season.
Clueless bastards.

VAR was definitely on our side yesterday, thought Van Dijk was lucky not to be sent off with that challenge on Onana
You can't review a red card incident if a yellow is given, as far as I know.

I have no idea why he was taken off today. He's got a winner in him and needs to stay on for the full 90

Are Forest signing a whole new team?
I understand why they’d want to strengthen a bit but a bit shit toward the lads that won promotion for them. It's a whole squad they've signed.

The funniest thing about the aftermath of this game is Arsenal thinking we've done them a favour.
I said it in August and I'll say it again: we'll finish above them this season.
No problem.
