I'm sure if you were somebody who had been on the telly every week for years, it would never cross your mind that going down on one knee with a bunch of roses and proposing to your woman in the middle of Times Square at the busiest time of the evening might lead to someone doing that. What do people like Rogers need to do to get a bit of privacy these days?

If Klopp benches Allen, that will prove that Klopp is conspiring against Allen. If Klopp plays Allen, that will prove that Klopp is again 'throwing Allen under a bus'.

 

At least we now have a falsifiable hypothesis to work with.

If the Special One goes to United, it will be a dilemma for the Chelsea fans, given how many of them supported United until Abramovich started pouring billions into Chelsea.

Given that we bought all of Southampton's best players in the summer, how come they're in third place and just beat the team that we lost three nil to a few weeks back? Any theories?

These polls are Bayesian  - i.e. the predictions keep getting updated as the evidence accumulates. So it would be interesting to be able to see how the predictions have been changing as the season has unfolded: to compare - say - the average position in predictions made before the beginning of the season (the 'prior') with the average position in predictions made since the beginning of November.

We look like a team that's gone out and bought half a dozen players from mid-table clubs. It doesn't make sense.
