    Aquilani

When you say qualitative; do mean subjective opinion? The stats above are fact; take them how you like. Aquilani got 6 assists in his last 10 games with us. He played well when he got to play. The loan move was and is ridiculous; his "replacements" Cole & Merieles have been far less effective.
  2. Reina is unsettled; whether we like it or not. Players need to believe in the "project", Pepe like the rest of us has doubts about the direction we're headed in under the current regime, except it's his career on the line and he has to make the difficult decisions with his head and not with his heart.

    Aquilani

Aquilani an assist for Liverpool every 108 minutes. The best assist to minutes ratio in the top five european leagues. He was an effective preformer even without being a 100%. It's revisionist bollocks to say he was rubbish. He's had fitness problems which he seems to have overcome and now looking like the class act that he clearly is.
  5. Yeah... a World Cup, the Euro's another world cup final and every domestic honor in the game. But not that effective for his teams in terms of achievement.
  6. Isn't that the case with most Managers? Personally i think what seperates the good form the bad is how sucessful your good buys are in terms of impact. Arsene has bought poorly previously but no one gives a shit because his good buys have been great. Its the same with Mourinho when he was here with Chelsea and the same with that cunt over the east lancs road. If you buy a Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Rooney.. you'll be cut some slack for buying Anderson, Tosic, Hargreaves, Carrick, Owen or even Berbatov. If your club can carry that margin of error and still achieve or get close to achieving it's objectives than no one will ever point the finger. Wenger bought Franny Jeffers; but it didn't matter because Henry was so fucking amazing. I guess you've got to build up some credit to get that slack when transfers go wrong, and they will do.
  7. Sorry, but this coming from someone that said Poulsen would be success makes it a little difficult to take seriously. Comoli is a respected scout and has signed a lot of good young players in his time. So i'll reserve judgement and give him a chance.
  8. http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/blogs/antynwa/28-doom-gloom-board-room-hope-guidance-dressing-room.html Everytime I read that; I realise what a monstorously stupid fucktard you really are. You really have sense and insight on what's good for this club don't you?
  9. have a read of what i said: his achievement at Porto still stand head and shoulders above anything else he's done in the game.
  10. Are you buzzing that we're 12th and have just left the relegation zone? have you finsihed your "in Roy we trust banner" yet?
  11. Chelsea; finished second prior to his arrival.. on the road to achieving the title with or without him in my view. Spent big as soon as he arrived to consolidate that. Grant took over came second and was a spot kick away from winning the CL. The Chelsea machine continues to tick over winning titles and reaching later stages of CL with several managers appointed. Abramovich the key driver. Inter; champions in the previous 3 seasons with Mancini. No rivals to speak of in Italy due to calpoli scandal. Significant investment in additional players and a good CL win. Madrid; £300-£400m worth of investment in the recent past. Pelligerini restles control of a changing room from ageing stars and finishes second achieving over 100pts total only to be pipped by the best and most consistent Barca team in history. Mourinho arrives with further investment into the team.
  12. 2 La Liga's and 1 Uefa Cup. With no Alonso either. Rafa's a control freak; it upsets some people. It's a strength as much as it is a flaw. His record speaks for itself.
  13. Mourinho; has always gone to clubs with massive investment in the teams either prior to his reign or during. Fantastic coach; no doubt and his achievement at Porto still stand head and shoulders of anything else he's done in the game. But Chelsea winning the title is no shocker; nor is Inter; or even Real who have spent in excess of £400m to create their team. He's taking teams on from a relative safe position. I'd like to see how he does in an unstable team with unrealistic expectation with little investment.
  14. Yeah.. Inter are fucked aren't they. 1 Trophy in the bag. 2nd in the league and 2 points away from qualifying from the group stages of the CL. All with pretty much zero spend this summer...Oh and they're playing "better" football. Mourinho is a great manager; and the Inter fans love him for what he achieved with them. The CL being the significant achievement. The title had already been won under Mancini several times albeit against a backdrop of all the other major players being significantly weakened, namely Juve & AC Milan. Unfortunately for Rafa those clubs are again on the rise having invested heavily this summer. If Mourinho was the primary driver behind the success of Chelsea & Inter; like Rafa was behind Valencia & Liverpool, perhaps it's worth looking at the respective clubs when both Managers left?
  15. If it means keeping Roy away from the transfer kitty then it can't be all bad? SWP? I heard we're scouting him? I mean WTF? If you don't know by now what SWP offers as a player then you'll probably never fucking know.
  16. We're just treading water at best at the moment; the sooner he leaves the sooner the club can refocus and start to aim high again. Option 4; it remains.
  17. Ah the mighty Valencia? Remind me again what happened to them when Rafa left and how long it took to get the club back to a decent level. They will probably never achieve those dizzy heights again. Much like us, I fear.
  18. He's shit and at 29 years old isn't going to get any better.
  19. Wonder if anyone has told Rijkaard about Roy's wonderful comments towards him? Utterly classless manager! The sooner he leaves, the sooner we can move onwards and upwards.
