Even on Netflix there’s better shows. The one about the Einsatzgruppen is fucking harrowing, man. If you wanna learn about the real horrors of the Nazis on Netflix then that’s what you should be watching. I had to switch it off for a bit at times.

Read "History of an Obsession" by Klaus Fischer, covers this quite comprehensively.

    Grim beyond words.

    Larousse Gastronomique rep.

It's absolutely brilliant, a true culinary encyclopedia.

You don't have to be a gifted chef to have a go at most of the recipes either.

    No

I'm alive and have a place to live, put food on the table and a bit left to spend on myself so yeah I'm OK.

On the other side, I have a few health issues that will never go away and don't enjoy social situations so don't make many friends

Never compare my life to others or ever jealous in a nasty way. Be nice to be able to disappear on multiple expensive holidays etc but no big thing. I've been to the US and India over the last 20 years a few times so I've been further than so e ever will. And now with needing insurance for ongoing health issues I'm unlikely to travel far, but I'm quite happy having been to Weymouth and Inverness over the last few years.

    Inverness is a lovely place.
