He is trying to drag us through the season with Houllier's squad and rebuilding it into his squad will take time. My heart sinks when i see Diao on the teamsheet, but for all his bizarre selections and annoying substitutions, i think he is doing a good job. Alonso is excellent, Garcia, i think will take time but become a good player for us. Nunez MUST be better than he looks at the moment. Alonso makes it all worth while, he is a proper class player. Having a reliable striker to whack the goals in will help a lot, and Anelka can play in the CL. I hope we get him.

Cech is quality. I was surprised when Cudicini was replaced and it can't be nice for him to have to sit on the bench so much, so I reckon he would be keen on a move. Dudek hasn't got it, Kirkland may have it but it is wrapped up in a body made of glass, Cudicini has it and would be a fantastic signing. I like Van der Saar too but age would mean Cudicini is a long termer. Van der saar must be about 56 now.

The rules don't say anything about playing the same team. The only thing is not being able to players that were subbed off in the original match.
