  1. heard chris waddle say we played football today which was like something from the eightes ie watford wimbledon , this really depressed me , i just cant understand the theory of playing heskey and pushing him out wide left ive said it before and i will sat it again if gh does not fancy playing heskey up front then dont play him at all, the ginger one must play wide left with jc at left back marcus right back . gh has spent 20million on two fowards in the last 2years and neither of them are playing upfront.we must be honest if certain other teams were playing the brand of football we are playing at the moment we would be slaughtering them on this forum. We have a good chance of winning the title this year but in tight games like today a negative approach will hamper us gh might say we deserved a draw today but ive heard reports on 5 radio stations and they all said we were awfull. Any team can have an off day but all the reports said we had a negative attitude to the game, and we did not start attacking till we were a goal down.
  2. the real funny part of all this rooney stuff and this is something which really must piss them off is that they know in their heart of hearts if rooney progreses as he has been he wont be a everton player in 2 years time he would have jumped ship down to the smoke
  3. cant believe someone would come on to this forum and refer to tommy smith as the laughing cripple, the reason for smith being a cripple is that he put his body through the pain barrier for many years for this club, he played many games only after being injected in both knees, he may seem bitter but when he sees some of todays players and the dosh they earn and their attitude to the game who can blame him.A lot of people dislike his views ,fair enough but those of us old enough to remember his goal in the european cup final would never call him that , there has been many explayers of this club who deserve stick ie spice boys but i dont think smithy was one of them
  4. I notice in issue 31 an article about stephane by Chris Smith , i thought it was a great article , but one point i did not agree with was chris dig at lawrenson, saying lawrenson was bitter because S H was a better player than he . Whatever we think of lawrenson as a pundit i personaly would not say SH was a better player , lawrenson was the best timer of a tackle in and around the penalty box i ever saw i think SH is a great player but lawrenson was up there with the very best.
  5. agree about issue 31 think it is the best yet , in the editorial dave sounded a bit down saying he could not get motivated to do it just to let you know Dave i know it must be a lot work getting each issue out but im glad you do. love the pictures and captions i think that what makes this fanzine stand out more humour than the others

  7. they all came out the woodwork today, heard duncan ( i can jump over minis) mackenzie saying he should be in the next england sqaud, moyes said he has only ever seen one player that good at a similar age charlie fucking nicholas young rooney must be pleased with that, for the lads sake i hope he dont end up like that pisshead.
  8. if you think des and his mates were bad you should have seen kamara and his chums on sky this morning. while on the subject of sky on jimmy hills prog today one journo was asked about the back page headline in his paper about leeds fans giving el tel stick ( chanting for oleary), he said with a straight face he was not sure if the fans were chanting for david oleary or david batty , and there was only a handfull of them , he still went ahead with the article though , just shows the standard of journalism in this land.
  9. i can understand some locals resenting oots , but being one myself i can say that most oots would give anything to have been born in liverpool, the spirit of the club and the city and shanks first awakened my love for the pool, when people ask me why i support liverpool without living there i tell them it not worth me explaining because they simply would not understand , it is like asking a catholic why he is a catholic, its a religious experience
