john i admire your optimism it is good to see but their is one or two things i must object to i along with most other reds would have detested mark hughes when he played for the mancs and everton but to compare heskey to hughes is one of the most amazing things i have ever heard , i am afraid to say heskey isnt fit to lace hughes boots, for a man of his size he is shit in the air and he could not control a medicine ball one pass summed him up today all he had to do was lay a simple pass into john arnes pathfor him to shoot a pass of about 10 feet ,instead of arriving along the floor john arne found it bobbling along the ground reaching him shin height. i have always tried to back G H but when i see smicer getting picked after 4 years of shit displays i find it very hard to believe he is the great footballing brain we have been led to believe.

i dont think you can compare houlliers transfer dealings with wengers there is no comparrison, wenger might have made the odd mistake but his ratio of good signings to bad ones must be 80% to 20% houlliers is the other way round. one point to think about in 5 meetings with 1st div clubs season we have drawn 1 lost 2 and won 2 one of them on pens. the awful truth is we can match the arse and the mancs in one of games but overall we are a million miles from them.

Very disapointed with the attitude of G H after match last night,if the team you put out does not play well just admit it dont go blaming everthing from the pitch to other team being dirty . The tackle on kirkland was late but i dont think the lad went out to injure him , to moan about pitch makes him sound petty. as for our no7 ive seen some bad displays from him but last night must have even made G H realise the bloke just aint up to it , if there aint any better players at the club to play his position then we are in trouble.

I dont think G H should be given any more money for a while he certainly cant complain about the backing he has got from the board in the past. Lets go with what we have got a see how good a coach he is , nearly all the players at the club are players he has bought so he must rate them .

i think it is unfair tim to call someone an idiot because he does not share your view , Pires was not that clever in his first year at arsenal but at least he could do the basics like control a ball, not every player who comes from french footballis going to set the league alight dont forget Diomede was in the world cup winning squad , traore played all last season in the french league and even the most blinkered fan would have to admit it looks as though he might not make the grade in english football. Agree about the 11 quality players , people have been saying for a while we have the strongest squad in the league , we might have the biggest but i dont think we have the best quality squad. We have a centre back playing left back , a striker playing left midfield 4 central midfielders that if they dont get picked in the centre get shoved out wide, i have not included igor in the midfielders as i have not got a clue what his position is, where is el hadjs position anyone know 10million is a lot to pay for a player when you dont know what to do with him.

dont really know what the state of play is with partridge concerning him coming back early, i dont even know if he is good enough for premiership, but one thing i do know is it worth giving the lad a run outwide he cant do no worse than the players playing wide at the moment.he could give the place a lift and also help us to change our style of play as i am afraid we have been sussed, i would not be adverse to giving the lad mellor a go , again i dont know if he will make the grade but we wont know till we try him he is a goalscorer and we have only got one at the moment and he is short on confidence, baros maybe? but heskey and diuoff are not natural goalgetters.

Anybody any thought on the reds being linked with overmars and kluivert , saw barca v the magpies last week thought overmars was great , he has got experience of premier league works pretty hard ,only downside being nearly 30. Kluivert i am undecided about on his day he looks fucking awesome his link up play is great ,he is very strong ,good in the air , good finisher still in mid 20s i think. my only worry is for so long weve been told how good he will be but he has not fullfiled his potential, perhaps he is about to dutch players have always done well in england, i also think if he was a liverpool player we would play the ball more to feet . who would he replace thats a different debate

stevie g was great last night i hope he sits down with the coaching staff and watches the second half performance, to me it highlighted what he is about . stevies strength is winning tackles ,joining up with the front two ,getting beyond the front two , getting shots in , i dont like to see him getting the ball of the keeper or centre halves and playing 60 yard balls which saint and milan struggle to collect , if we are to compare him to keane or vierra he has to play like he did second half . The fact we play with a defensive midfielder ( hamman or diao)means stevie can get foward more,i am not having a go at him he might be playing under instructions if he is lets hope the manager gives him freedom to play like he did second half cos when he does he is the bollocks

Any team can have an off day but all the reports said we had a negative attitude to the game, and we did not start attacking till we were a goal down.
