I've also found s'mthin about a friendly tournament that Liverpool had in Romania during the interwar period, more exactly in june 1936. It played against Ripensia Timisoara (newly crowned romanian champions at that time) and Venus Bucharest and both matches were won by the reds.

I’m a fan of Petrolul Ploiesti and as some of you probably know my team played against Liverpool in the first round of the 1966/1967 Champions Cup so I was curious to find out if there’s anyone here who keeps track of history files regarding your club – anything from pictures, newspaper articles, match programms, personal memories etc.; if so does he has something related to this particular event ?
