I had a little watch of the Open on Sunday afternoon, and while Tom Watson looked like he was about to win the tournament, the commentator remarked that, in his opinion, if Watson were to win it it would be the "greatest sporting achievement of all time". Now, I'm not a massive fan of golf, I have an old friend on the professional circuit so I watch to see how he's getting along, but I couldn't agree with this.
It got me thinking, what do people think is the greatest sporting achievement of all time? Obviously we all have claim to what a lot of people would refer to as the greatest ever with Istanbul, so by all means if that's what you think- incidentally I do too- then great, but does anybody have anything different? If so, why?
