  1. Looking at the player stats for my fantasy team I see that Carra-dona and Gerrard are maxing the envelope for the reds! I think that Liverpool should just use the academy for local kids from liverpool town and bring them through and only sign big MVP/special type players like Torres, Rooney, Ronaldo, Zidane etc and use the academy players for roles like Babel, Benayoun, Dossena. I think it is a pride thing that pushes Garrard and Carragher to reach their potential but the majority of the non native players just go through the motions. A local kid with some balls would run through a brick wall for his home town franchise if he really believed in where it was going. I'm sure walking out in front of the Kop Bleechers in front of their hometown support means much more to them than it does to guys like N'gog and Babel and those players who would'nt really know about liverpool except for the Beatles maybe from their homeland.
  2. I was going to do a v-bookie thread, but since 'The-Sir' is a tight bastard and hasn't forked out on a season ticket, he requested that I just do this as a normal poll. Following on from this thread - http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/gf-general-forum/74123-my-friends.html, and also to research what the smart person to mong ratio on the GF is, I ask you one simple question; 'Who do you think will win out of Woo and The-Sir, in their deciding pool match?' It will be American Pool, the best of 15 frames (so for the crayon munchers that is the first person to win 8 frames). In the last match they played, Woo won 7-5, and he is also the 'in form' player. Get voting, if it does nothing but waste 30 seconds of your life reading this and then voting, it merely adds to our already massive ego's.
