House down our street's alarm has been going off for about 3 hours now. It happens about once a week and it seems to be the same house and the bastard is going to be on all night if previous occurrences are anything to go by. I called the none-emergency Police number who put me through to a helpful young lady called Louise who said that it wasn't a police issue because "an alarm is a deterrent and if it's been going off for ages the criminal is probably long gone by now" which was great. Called the council environmental office who told us that unless we knew it was a council house and called during office hours they wouldn't do anything. Short of pulling on my rape-gloves and going out with a ladder and a hammer anyone got any suggestions?
