  1. How can he claim that Yossi is tactically better, at this early stage?
  2. Finished an excellent book by Ruy Castro on on of the most fascinating footballers to have ever lived, Garrincha. I've always heard about how great he was along with Pele in the early Brazil sides and i knew that one leg was shorter than the other but the amount of stuff that i haven't heard about him was unreal, they have to make a film about him. He was born in a poor area, played for just the joy of the game which carried over into his national career and described as 'the most amatuer footballer professional football ever produced'. He'd regulary beat a defender go back and then beat him again just for the joy of it. He suffered chronic with alcoholism and blew most of his money on it. He was also a nymphomaniac and apparantly was hung like a donkey, they also reckon he lost his virginity to a goat! He was had an affair with one of Brazils most desirable singers and a lot of people turned against him over this so much so that she was shot at. His footaball career was unbelievable, when himself and Pele played on the same team they never lost and i think garrincha himself was only on the losing side with Brazil once. Sadly he got arthritis in his knees and was never the same player but in his prime he was amazing and there's a bit on youtube that i found. Highly recommend this book, i've read a good few footballers books and this is probably the best so far as there's some great stories on him. Use the link on this site to buy the book through Amazon, heres a link to it anyway....
