  1. is fucking tough going .No disrespect to other recently retired Australian players who contributed to Australia's recent dominance of world cricket, but at best they were great players, while the above-mentioned are fucking undoubted legends of the game. I'd have to say that Stuart Clark and Mitchell Johnson have done a decent job replacing McGrath, Haddin will try hard but not come close to the Big-Eared One, whilst Australia's current spin options are as shot as they have been for a couple of decades. Cam White is a batting all-rounder who bowls more in the Kumble mould than Warne, so how he fits in to this Australian team remains to be seen. In fact, I'd say that up to half the spots in the Australian team would be up for grabs at the moment, so a run of good form in domestic cricket would be handy now, especially with such a massive 12 months coming up. If there is an up and coming player in there somewhere, we'll know about him by the end of next year's Ashes series, as I honestly can never remember such a tough run of Tests as India in India, followed by South Africa home and away (New Zealand doesn't get a mention because they are generally pretty shit, handy one-day team though) followed by England in England. That Ashes series will see Australia about as ripe for the picking as I can remember in my 25 years on God's green earth. Please come back Warnie, you chain-smoking, womanising, beer-and-pie-loving, fat bastard! You are/will be for all eternity sorely missed.
