I was as guilty as many on here on the match thread when questioning the team in the second half on Sunday. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but had I taken a step back, and considering the result, we did remarkably well. Chelsea had their tails up and, well, we dealt with it and we pounced when it hurt them most - right at the death.
What I didn't like to see was people on here slating Adam. Since the game he's been lauded for his performance against Chelsea and, again in hindsight on my part, righfully so. I know Garth Crooks is a tool but even he managed this to say about Adam:
"This player is growing into a real Liverpool gem, with shades of Graeme Souness about his game. Adam won the ball for Liverpool's first goal against Chelsea, saw off Ramires, then provided a sensational pass for Glen Johnson to weave his way past a bewildered Chelsea defence for the winner. An outstanding performance.
Did you know? Adam has set up more shots than any other player at Liverpool in the Premier League this season (25)."
So - time some of the blerts on here stopped getting on his case and started to realise he's quite an asset.
