I've been playing games since 1988, two years after my birth. In my 20 years of play video games, this was the first time I have had to destroy a game that I played. I took the disks that I spent £80.00 on in total and destroyed them with my bare hands. I broke them into little pieces, right in my grisp. Why would I ever do something like that? Something so drastic? Afterall, I have played plenty of games I have despised before but, but I never reached the point of destroying the physical copy of the game itself. I destroyed Warcraft because it was the first game that I have ever played in my lifetime that I felt was actually playing me instead. I felt so used by this game. I never once at all felt like I was playing against the game. I felt like I was playing against the company that made the game. This game is designed to empty pockets and generate revenue for Blizzard Entertainment. They were playing me, they nerf our warrior class, and we fall back. They nerf our tanking abilities, and buff Paladins but we fall back. They gimp us in PVP so we can't effectively do arena anymore, and we fall back. Not anymore, THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE, THIS FAR AND NO FARTHER. The game never ends. It will continue eating people up, destroying lives and making them worthless human beings. My word of advice to everyone World of Warcraft player "don't put a value on something that has no value". You will pay for it dearly, and thankfully looking at different ideas for my dissertation has saved me, snapped me out of it. Good night sweet knight.
