I came home from work this morning and our staffy has got worse. She has arthritis badly in her hind legs and has a lot of muscle wastage, she is now struggling to even walk properly in the mornings. She has been on 20mg of Metacam and 4mg of seraquin daily plus double strength R&A formula for nearly 4 years. Every winter we didn't think she'd make it but the stubborn old bitch always managed to see it through with the heating on full blast in the house, extra blankets and sleeping in bed with us to keep her warm and try to stop the arthritis getting too bad. Watching her this morning there is no way she can last another winter, she has enough meds for another fortnight and we have decided if there is no improvement by the end of the two weeks she'll have to go to doggie heaven.
