Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has lost the support of the dressing room and is facing the start of the end of his managerial spell at Anfield.
Only a European Cup win this season, preferably helped by Alberto Aquilani, can surely save the boss following information supplied to me this afternoon - assuming of course no world class signings are brought in during the January transfer window.
I understand that several senior first team players (I'll name them later) are unhappy with the direction of the team and I also know who (I'll name him also!) would be ready to replace Benitez with Sammy Lee as his number 2 should the shit hit the fan over the course of the season.
George Gillett has stuck the knife in on the boss who was rumoured to be considering walking earlier in the season and Tom Hicks would be happy to see the back of the Spaniard but if they were to sack him it'd cost a fortune so will Benitez hold out?
The club is in a mess and while I believe that the ownership situation will be resolved sooner than later, I firmly believe this season could be Rafa's last depending on the outcome of the things I have mentioned above.
As a supporter of the manager, I'm not about to launch an attack on him. But it is my responsibility as editor of this website to reveal what's happening behind the scenes and I will do so in the private area of our members websiteshortly... after I have found a bookmaker (see below) that will give me some odds for the next manager of Liverpool Football Club.
Betting was suspended on the boss leaving Liverpool the last time I suggested things were in the air so this time, I'm going to retain my views for our members!
