Just wondered if anyone knows of the process (if there is one) to oppose a new off licence being opened in my street?
Where I live is completely residential and there's one small unit which has been used as storage for the last three years. As i was walking past yesterday there was a sign up from the council saying that the premises had received an application for sale of alcohol.
I'm not too bothered generally, although I just know that i'm quite happy that our street is really quiet with no gangs or scrotes knocking about, but an offy will pretty much attract them all to my doorstep which I really don't want.
Is there any specific place I can contact to oppose, or am I stuck if someone wants to open a shop then that's their right?
