Yes according to Jonthan Northcroft ( who appears on LFCTV and seems a red in his writing) on today's Sunday Supplement.
Mainly around the short-term and the repeated comparison with the Arsenal model ( they maybe be able to kick on now they are getting the revenues from the new stadium but for all their pretty football last five years have no silverware to show for it).
Basic message that this is about long term turn around and no evidence of any short term fix. Although Henry told journalists this week that he recongnises that success on the field has to come first to drive the revenues off the pitch.
This week Henry was smoozing with a collection of journos giving them they..' if you had a blank piece of paper what would you do....' Andy Dunn said he did the same at Red Sox and then never spoke with the jounos for the next three years ( Supporter groups who think you have his ear take note, make hay while the sun shines if true).
Northcroft did say that there was no mention about the director of football (strategy) and the next day he was appointed. So the guys are working steathly. He also said Roy is on probation.
I think back to the night the deal was done in the offices of Slaughterhouse and May when Henry said ..' we are the second biggest spenders in baseball..' so hopefully they can replicate in short order.
We should all continue to be wary of their intentions and , as they say, judge them by their actions. Early days but clearly better than the other two jokers. If they deliver the head of Roy before Christmas I will know we have the right owners with the savy to kick on in the short run.
