I used table salt, you can buy special solution if you'd feel better about it.

I've blown my nose like mad but whatever"s in there seems determined to stay in there, and hacking it up and spitting it out fares little better.

A neti pot should help to clear, just go with warm salt water.

Living in London I was told I had to expect minor sinus issues, what with the pollution. Interestingly, I gave up smoking last year and things have definitely improved.

Funnily enough the specialist that I saw about mine at the ENT told me to keep up with the neti pot.  You just need to ensure everything is clean and sterile, otherwise you could end up with bigger problems. 

The ice cream man round our way used to smoke, so most of the cornets tasted of cig smoke. Didn't stop us eating them.

Mine was so bad last year that I bought a neti pot and used warm water, salt and hydrogen peroxide (3% or thereabouts and a few quid at the chemist. Only use a little in the water, very diluted) and flushed out my nasal passages. I also had a camera into my sinuses, antibiotics and blood tests. it stung a bit but I was desperate to be rid of the pain. 

The cause for me is a sudden tree pollen allergy accordion to the blood tests, so this year I took an anti allergy throughout the pollen season and it worked. I had the occasional day with a little hint of pain but it never developed into anything. 

I feel your pain, it hurt my face, teeth and eyes. It affected my eyesight too. 

(I wouldn't use Hydrogen Peroxide unless you read up on it first, and certainly not often, maybe just once. Stick with a little salt and warm water after that.)

It wasn't a day out at West Kirby beach without one of these as a kid (I thought they were Walls ice cream. Really creamy tasting ice cream. We'd run about collecting (sometimes without permission) all the glass coke bottles for the refund so we could buy one.

One of the organisers of the storming of Wembley by thousands of ticketless fans has defended the widely criticised breach, as more details emerged about the scale of the security lapse.

Pablo (not his real name), 24, from the Midlands, was one of the administrators of a Telegram chat group of hundreds of ticketless fans who shared tips about getting into Sunday’s final. Hours before the kick-off those who succeeded advised those still outside on where breaches had been made, he said.

Speaking to the Guardian, he gave details of how he and about 300 fans entered via an entrance for disabled visitors in block K, and he claimed others bribed stewards to get in. He estimated that at least 5,000 entered without a ticket.

Last week images of real tickets were shared on the chat group, which members used to forge in their own names. Pablo and his friends used such fake tickets to get past a first security check at about 5.15pm. He then regularly checked the Telegram chat for updates on where security had been breached.

Pablo drove down from the Midlands with nine ticketless friends in two cars. All but one of them got in to see the game. He took £250 in cash to pay officials but did not need to use it.

Members on the chat claim they got in by bribing stewards for as little as £20. One member said he got in after paying a steward £120. In an audio message on the chat heard by the Guardian, the man explained how the steward had told him to “put the money in my pocket as I’m patting you down”. The man said: “It was probably more than he earned on that shift. Money talks.”

Pablo said: “A lot of stewards seemed more than willing to help. We offered one £200 to let five of us in. At about quarter to seven we were waiting for the steward’s mate to show up and that’s when we saw a disabled door open so we just ran through.

“Every time a disabled entrance was opened there must have been 300 people who got in. And it seemed that every 10 minutes one got yanked open. And that doesn’t count the people who bribed stewards or went behind someone in the turnstiles. I would be shocked if there was less than 5,000 got in without a ticket.”

He added: “When we got in everyone was chanting ‘jib, jib, jib’ up the escalators. We found five empty seats. A family came and one of us was sat in their seat and they seemed a bit moody, but we just moved along one and no one else came.”

In reference to video showing fans attacking ticketless fans who breached security, Pablo said: “We didn’t harm anyone. The people causing the troublewere the ones fighting ticketless fans.”

Asked how Wembley could stop similar breaches Pablo said: “If there were four of five police officers behind each disabled entrance, that would deter people. Stewards aren’t enough to put you off. But Wembley probably won’t be jibbed on that scale again unless we get the World Cup in 2030.”

The Forbidden City in Beijing. It wasn't that forbidden there must have been thousands of us there. Red Square Moscow and the sun and moon pyramids in Mexico. 

Taking the kids to Florida and we got to go to Kennedy and watch the shuttle Atlantis launch, that was huge for me as a little kid watching the moon landings it was always an ambition to see a launch. I managed to see two before they stopped them. 

One big thing still on my list of places to visit is the Great Pyramid in Egypt, I had a ferry booked from Cyprus and a tour booked and it got cancelled due to some terrorist activity. I know many are underwhelmed when they see it's next to a housing estate but I will go one day.

You need adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. 

In fact they are allowing drivers to not lower their concentration on the road (motorway under 37MPH) if they have some features on their car that allow self driving. I mean if you've ever been on the motorway in the rush hour you'd see that very few drivers are concentrating on the road, most are doing make up, eating breakfast etc.

The left turn. 

One of the easiest manoeuvres you'll make on the road. Yet there are still drivers who swerve right before turning left, often encroaching into the right lane as if they are a HGV. Some will come to a complete stop to make a left turn, others slow down to a snails pace well before. 

I'm not suggesting they make left turns on two wheels but neither am I happy with the other extreme.

Yeah soaking your foot in hot water (bearable not scalding) with some salt in it should help and ensure you don't get it infected. A few times a day preferably, until the pain stops or it falls off.

We have our winner

Well the best team on the night won. I wanted England to win but after Jorginho went down for a break, England lost their early momentum and Italy recovered from their initial shock. I'm probably being unfair here but Southgate for me seemed to freeze, we all knew that it wasn't working and needed changes but he either didn't know what to do or was too scared to make them. In the second half at 1-1 England played like they were protecting a 1 goal lead, madness. 

The only person that looked gutted when the last penalty was missed was my 8 year old granddaughter and I felt sorry at least for her, she hasn't spent half a century watching the national team balls it up, she will get used to it. The luckiest person was my 3 year old grandson, who has been singing 'I'm going home' but had like most of the England team been fast asleep for hours when they lost. 

Players shouldn't have to avoid social media but I think it's about time they did. Also those platforms need to hunt out those responsible for the sickening racist abuse and provide the evidence so the perpetrators can be prosecuted. If they can't then they should be shut down, social media platforms need to start taking more responsibility for the scum that use it.
