  1. Just a few points on this

    1) You say there's not much competition for Mignolet but I thought Danny Ward was tearing it up in the Scottish League. Do you not rate him anymore?

    2) Moreno has to go alright. Why did Klopp rave so much about Flanagan after Stoke and then hardly play him since?

    3) Didi Hamann took a penalty in a champions league final with a broken foot. I think Sturridge, cramp or not, could have taken a penalty.

  2. I think it's time for us to prioritize the Europa league from now in. Once we get to 40 points (yes, I'm still looking at that) then we should be looking at playing our first choice team(whatever that is,is anyone's guess) and the second choice team for the league. If we win the Europa League we can get Champions League football. I don't see us getting there through the League.

  3. I think he picked the right team and it was a good result/performance considering. Remember we played Oldham in the cup a few years ago with a better side than this and got beat. A few Liverpool careers (Robinson, Coates etc) were ended because of that game.

If we had picked a better side there's always a chance that the players wouldn't be giving it their all and still could get beat or embarrassed for playing badly. Look at United yesterday. They won, but morally, it was a defeat. If you play a strong team and play badly, the reaction would be worse. Whereas most of the players who played on Friday were glad of a game and motivated to play well and those who disappointed (Benteke) obviously weren't.

  4. Couple of things Dave. Firstly it's spelt Cech, Czech is the nationality ;) Secondly, if you want to have a good look at Wes Hoolahan, get to watch some Ireland games, he's our best player, although that's probably more an indication of our level than his. You won't see Darron Gibson though. If you thought Jose Enrique never plays a game....
