We're seriously stretched at centre back, he's looked decent any time he's there, so why the fuck is he not playing? On that point Sakho couldn't have picked a better time to play again could he? By the way Dave I was thinking of writing a piece this week assessing the game, but there's no need as you said EXACTlLY what I wanted to say. The point on Klopp's inactivity was especially pertinent.

That was my first home game in 5 years. I haven't gone to many games as I've been away a good bit the last few years and I'm from Ireland anyway but I won't be going again. I've been to 3 League games and we've drew 1 and lost 2 so I'm obviously a fucking jinx.

On a wider note though this was the worst defeat for me since Chelsea 2014. Every other defeat since then I could write off as "Well, it's only the Carling Cup...Europa League...4th place trophy..." whatever, but the title was still up for grabs on Saturday and now it's up the swanny. Win on Saturday, win against Chelsea, we had a chance. Now, we've no fucking chance. What's another year eh? What's another 27 by the looks of it.

The only hope I'm clinging to is that Chelsea go through a blip themselves. Think about it: City look unstoppable, then fall to pieces. Now we do likewise. Chelsea? Well they've been on the right side of the luck over the past few weeks. That's great. But it only lasts for so long. We just have to get our own house in order to capitalize on it.

I can't understand why Pep doesn't get Xavi to play in goal for him. I mean, he can actually pass the ball, and he can hardly save less shots.

Absolutely agree about the Champions League. You can only prioritize one or the other and the last time we had a good league season we weren't even in Europe. I'd take a league over 2 European cups. Obviously for Leicester, it's a bit different...

As for 17 year old left backs, he sounds like the next Luke Shaw. In the next few years I expect him to get fat, never play and get thrown under the bus by Mourinho.

I actually think Guidolin was really unlucky to be let go by Swansea. I mean, they should have got at least a draw against us, and City the week beforehand. Chairmen are far too trigger happy these days. But then it was similar with Laudrup. And Monk. 

I think even the Reebok stadium for Bolton was too corporate. Once you're not calling a stadium after an area/great historical person, you're on dodgy ground.

One final thing Dave, as a non-scouser Liverpool fan, I actually have to say I really like Everton as a club. Now I know that may seem sacrilegious, but remember, I don't get to hear the fans so much, but I love Seamus Coleman (I'm Irish) and their manager and chairman are alright too....Ok. I know. You have permission to hate me.

Few things Dave

1) I can't get anyway excited about this victory when I'm still seething about Burnley. Fair enough, they played well, but I want to see us in the top 4 in November and December before I start patting them on the back

2) When you consider Pogbart cost 100 million, Lallana at 25 looks positively cheap.

2)Hate the away kit nonsense as well. In fact, I'm totally against buying new kits in general. God be with the days when teams would only change their shirt every 5 years. You should only buy a jersey when the old one is gone too worn/small...which unfortunately for some fans is every season.
