"Jon Brooks, the linesman who got Raheem Sterling's offside so wrong, was dropped by the FA in January for telling Lescott to applaud the fans"
Appalling!

I think their biggest test is coming up now. They have done well so far (apart from the new stadium) and have backed the manager, given the biggest contract in LFC's history to Suarez.
We are top of the table but if we do land up in the CL, we need to buy lot of quality players to make it count. This season, we have had no Europe to contend with so squad rotation is not much of an issue but what happens when we get in the CL/ EL?

Interesting piece regarding Rossiter and Brad Smith towards the end of the article. Rodgers saying that they are training with the senior squad and they might get a chance as the season goes by.

Liverpool have opened talks with Luis Suarez's agent over a deal that could make the Uruguayan striker the highest-paid player in the club's history.
Managing director Ian Ayre returned to Merseyside on Tuesday having spent 24 hours in Spain, where he held talks with Suarez's agent, Pere Guardiola.
Liverpool's owners have sanctioned the deal but it remains to be seen whether Suarez, 26, is willing to commit beyond 2016, when his current contract ends.
Real Madrid retain an interest in him.
But Reds manager Brendan Rodgers saidrecently: "He is really happy here. He is playing with a smile and enthusiasm. The whole profile of the club fits him perfectly. The supporters idolise him and you can see the connection there."
It may take a contract offer of close to £200,000 per week, double Suarez's present deal, to persuade him to sign a new contract. However his relationship with leading figures at Anfield has improved significantly since he attempted to force a move to Arsenal in the summer.
The Gunners made two bids for the Uruguay international, including a club-record offer of £40m plus £1 in an attempt to trigger a release clause in his contract.
Both were rejected, with Rodgers accusing Arsenal of "playing games".
Suarez was considering submitting a formal transfer request and the possibility of court action if the dispute was not resolved as he believed the second bid triggered a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave the club, whom he signed for in January 2011 for a fee of £22.7m.
Suarez was initially made to train alone during pre-season, but returned to the first-team fold on 16 August after talks with Rodgers.
He missed the first six games of the season after being given a 10-match ban in April for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, but returned against Manchester United on 25 September and has scored 17 goals in 12 games.

Momo was superb until his eye injury. He was never the same after that. What a player! One just needs to look at the Youtube compilation of him vs Chelsea and how he dominated their players. I shudder when I think of the options we had. Those were the days!

DM - 100% priority... Reges on a pre-contract/ Matic would be ideal. M'vila - not seen him play(20-25 mill)
LB - Send Sissokho back. Get coentrao(loan) or buy 1 of moreno/ shaw/ jetro williams (15-20mil for each of these) I dont rate Bertrand. Sorry.
RB - Montoya (6-8 mill)
CF - Backup for Sturridge because he tends to get injured... the Greek guy should do OK.(6 mill)
LW - Send Moses back to Chelsea. Yarmolenko/ Kono are good shouts. (15-20 mill)
Get all these. Top 4 will be sealed. This IS THE window for us. We might never get such an opportunity for another 2-3 yrs again and then other clubs will have moved on and the gap will be even more enormous.
Upto FSG now!

How about Coentrao? Madrid were keen to ship him out and hes not getting too much game time competing against Marcelo. He would suit the left wing back role that we have in place. rumours are that his wages are around 100,000 per week and Madrid would want around 10-15 mill for him too

Moses and Toure wlll be gone for the African Cup of Nations in January, wont they? Think we are covered on the CB side but I have a feeling we might go for a "marquee" LW signing. Does not MATA as long as they are good :P
