  1. What I don't get is people saying why will owners buy a partial stake in us instead of spending that money to takeover a lesser club.

Isn't that why Man City are being forced to cook the books because they lack the appeal and worldwide support of clubs like and us and their neighbours. People have and are paying to watch and support us, people will continue to do that. The volume of supporters we have, makes owning any part of us prestigious and also an opportunity.

  2. Mislintat's signings for Arsenal were meh except maybe for Aubameyang:

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 163 appearances, 92 goals

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - 59 appearances, nine goals

Dinos Mavropanos - Eight appearances, no goals

    Bernd Leno - 125 appearances

Sokratis Papastathopoulos - 69 appearances, six goals

Lucas Torreira - 89 appearances, four goals

Matteo Guendouzi - 82 appearances, one goal

Stephan Lichtsteiner - 23 appearances, one goal

Let the bullshitting and chancers claiming scoops commence.

Ooredoo - the telecom company - the Government of Qatar has 68% share in it and the company reported $3 billion in revenue for H1 2022. Net assets - $24billion.

    Succinct as always.

I assume the fools who paid for the Athletic subscription to cover their scattergun employment of any living / breathing journalist are delighted with the word count.

As if the article wasn't long enough, you had to quote the whole thing.

The perception that Barcelona is somehow bullying the Spanish league is wide of the mark, if anything Javier Tebas is bullying Barcelona.

There's absolutely no way the Premier League would have made a Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea do anything like what Tebas is making Barcelona do, It's worth repeating that they made Barcelona release the worlds best player

You're not seeing Barcelona running roughshod over football, you're watching it cannibalise itself for short term gratification.

They had to release him because they were paying him a million quid a week and this is with loans of 1.5B. Tebas didn't force Barca to pay huge and unsustainable wages for Griezmann and the likes, Barca did. They dug their own pit and hopefully they don't come out of it.
